This isn't the thread to discuss your favourite movies or top 5 all time or whatever, no (that could be another cool thread), this is just the thread to report on the last movie you just watched (good or bad). Maybe as a general guide we could talk about movies we saw in the last week I guess.
I'm half curious what you guys are watching, but also I want to make a record of movies I watched, because I find I forget and can't recall the last movie I watched a lot of the time (brain damage I guess).
I just finished watching - Terrifier 2
This might be the most gruesomely violent movie I've ever seen, but oddly it's also kind of light and silly, with a goofy clown kind of clowning around and being funny while he sadistically brutalises people to death. Some of the kills are so over the top mean and brutal you can't help laughing, and then others are oddly quick (like just shooting someone in the head). Keeps you on your toes never guessing what might happen next. But it's generally very very very gruesome and disgusting. I've never quite seen a movie like it. It kind of almost reminds me of south park when they take delight in having extreme violence and making it oddly unnervingly real (despite the 2-d cartoon aspect), only this is actual 3d real life film of actors and it looks like prosthetic dummies being brutally smashed and sliced and ripped apart. NO CGI that I can tell. But yeah they take special delight in torturing some characters for quite a while and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Crazy movie and overall a fairly fun romp of silliness, provided you aren't too squeamish.

What I have started watching is the Russian version of "War and Peace" on the YouTube channel. The Russian version is far better than the British version. Yes it has English subtitles, but I am a fast reader, so no problem.
It comes in 4 parts and each part is about 90 minutes long. The photography is spectacular, as is the realistic acting.

I watched puss in boots the last wish the other day
*Spoilers*
I love all the movies in the shrek franchise so I was looking forward to this simply because of nostalgia, but believe me when I say, THIS MOVIE GOES HARD. I really liked the theme, the theme of the movie is mortality because puss is on the last of his nine lives and Lobo who is basically the grim reaper but as a wolf hates that he didn’t value of the previous lives so he is out to punish him by taking away his life early, so puss goes on a quest to find the mythical wishing star to wish his lives back while completing with other characters who also want to get the wish. I really liked the characters too, I liked pusses character development, I liked the B plot of goldilocks and the three bears (who have been made a crime family in this movie) also trying to get the star, yes I actually really liked them in the movie, I liked the the villain of the movie who is big jack Horner, he was funny, I loved the other “villain” of the movie, which is Lobo (big bad Wolf) who like I said is death, he’s not exactly a villain but I don’t know what else to call to call him. It’s cool to have a villain that is exactly threatening. I also love the animation, it reminds me of spider man into the siper verse, which is another movie I love. That ending scene is awesome too.
Great movie, when it wants to be serious it’s actually serious, when it wants to be funny it’s actually funny, it has well written characters and a well written plot. Would definitely recommend

I last watched 8-mile. First time seeing it, I saw little clips when I was a kid because others watched it but never understood it. It was really entertaining, I especially like when he takes some slut into a factory and fucks her despite being a pathetic introverted loser. Hopefully the same happens to me.

Would definitely recommend I saw puss in Boots at the cinema recently too with my kids. It was really cool, and the wolf was legit creepy. Puss slaying that massive giant thing at the start was pretty epic.

I like horror movies where the protagonist gets to beat up the creatures like zombies or the deadites from The Evil Dead.

In puss in boots they're mostly speaking in spanish accents. But no, I grew up mostly consuming media with american accents or british accents. Probably 50% american, 30% british, 15% Australian, 5% other. American is the most "normal" kind of movie for me to watch. When I watch one with Australian accents I'm like "ooooh this is interesting".
