In puss in boots they're mostly speaking in spanish accents. But no, I grew up mostly consuming media with american accents or british accents. Probably 50% american, 30% british, 15% Australian, 5% other. American is the most "normal" kind of movie for me to watch. When I watch one with Australian accents I'm like "ooooh this is interesting". Record us your voice. I always picture you as an American for some reason, like I think you're going to talk American.

Ahh no, go fuck yourself. I speak in an Australian accent, but not a bogan one like Steve Irwin or the Bloom brothers or whatever. I went to private school so I talk more like Hugh Jackman or a male Cate Blanchett. Even though my parents actually do talk bogan. If I'm surrounded by bogans I can kind of fake a bogan accent to fit in. For example I don't speak like this hero, more like the people laughing at him. But I CAN speak like this guy if I need to in order to survive.

My accent is all mixed up. I grew up in France but my mother was British and she taught me to speak English, so it's sort of half and half.

I was thinking Montana or Canada based on your posts, but then got thrown by the Pine Marten, which is a european species. I now realise they seem to call American Martens "Pine Martens" in parts of North America, so I guess that's it, but you also mentioned you're not American... I guess it's starting to all make sense as I type it out. Frenchman who moved to North America at some point?

I was 6 months old when we moved to France from Canada. I now live 4,450 feet up in the Rockie Mountains of British Columbia.

My father was French Canadian, my mother was from England. I grew up in France and feel a connection to France. I speak French also but not as well as I speak English. My bloodline is 50% French, 38% English, 12% Irish.

Today I've been procrastinating a couple of big posts I'm working on by watching "the twilight zone". Specifically the 2019-2020 remake which was made by Jordan Peele. Not a movie but thought I'd talk about it anyway.
I am shocked to see it has such a poor rating on IMDB (5.9.. makes no sense), it's actually fantastic and I highly recommend it. I've watched 4 episodes (randomly, not in order) so far. 1 was about girls in a boarding school where 1 new girl discovers another girl at the school has psychic powers. Doesn't sound that cool but honestly was very interesting. Another was about a husband and wife having an alien appear in their basement and then it slowly morphs into their dead daughter to try and appeal to them, it was so weird and interesting. Another was about a guy on a plane who is listening to a podcast which seems to be talking about the actual plane he is on and the flight he is on crashing, and he tries to convince everyone and they all think he is crazy etc. Another was about a mysterious weird guy appearing in a small town in alaska and he turns out to be some kind of alien strategically intercepting a russian invasion of america (I think? not great with details sometimes), it was very cool anyway. I really like this show. I'm thinking the low rating might be due to some "woke" themes pushed in some episodes? That's really all I can think of.

I'm watching "The Fall Of Berlin". It's a 2 part movie with each part about 90 minutes long. It was made in 1948 and was originally filmed in black and white. It has been colorized and is all in Russian with English subtitles.
You can watch it for free on YouTube.

I tried watching two other "Anthology" Series after watching Twilight Zone. "Monsterland" and "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities" (On prime and Netflix, respectively). Both pretty much sucked. I like the anthology idea, with stand alone episode of random creepy stories. But these just aren't that good. Even Twilight Zone is mid tier compared to "Black Mirror" which is the best, but still was enjoyable.

Rewatched "The Great Wall" the other day on Netflix. Recommend it. It's about this attack on the Great Wall by an army of these huge monster predators called Tao Tei. Unrealistic fantasy predators, but really cool. They work as a hive like ants with a massive horde of smaller soldiers, a huge queen, and a small band of huge queen protectors. You kill the queen and they all die, but if they get past the army manning the Great Wall and make it to the city beyond the wall with all the humans to feed on, they end up running over the world. This is one of the small soldier Tao Tei, about 8,000 lbs I guess.. Edit: sorry some of my images won't post. The Queen and Queen protectors are very similar in shape and size, about 30,000 lbs I guess like somewhat bigger than a record African elephant bull This is what the Queen's protectors (which surrounds the Queen) does when a missile comes at the Queen
