Off and on. I have a "book plan" where I have weekly and monthly goals of so many words per week and month. Basically holds me accountable to see how much I'm doing and when I'm not doing anything. It was recommended to me by an Author/self publishing youtuber I watch and it seems to be a good idea. Last 2 weeks I've done nothing. But it's good to see that and feel bad and do better next week. So the goal on last month was 12 000 words. I actually only did 9560, so fell short. This month I did 9500 in the first week, but then 0 in weeks 2 and 3. I'd only need to do 2500 before 5th of January 2023 to meet my monthly goal, but if I wanted to catch up for last month as well (which I do) I'd do 4940, that would put me back on track for my ultimate goal of 85 000 words by 1st of June, 2023 (which is about how big I want the book to be, but if it goes bigger that's fine too). So yeah... that's basically how I have to treat it. I've tried and given up many different times over the years with many different book ideas. This time I'm using strategies and taking advice from people who write books. It's counter intuitive to me to worry about counting words and all that, I'm more of an "artiste" who works on waves of "inspiration" when they come to me, but I think in real life this is just what it takes to get shit done. You have to be an organised disciplined type of person so I'm trying that. How’s the foreword going?

A few different chapters, including the foreword, are started but incomplete. No chapter is complete yet, not even a "rough draft". This particular book is a fairly new project. Not even two months old yet. I scrapped "Our debt to the dog" and "Boarhounds; Then and Now". I may revisit them later. This is a new one.

Which ones? I have literally about 80. Some worship me and others barely know I exist.

Dean would be extremely confused. He couldn't comprehend that anyone would waste time like this and couldn't even begin to understand what even the dumbest member is saying. That would be due to his own stupidity. I have other cousins where their intelligence would lead them to a similar conclusion.

As a bully, how many fights have you been in over the years?

Lol I was in many many fights during my school years. Not many in the last 20 years. As an adult it doesn't really come up that much. I had to "rough house" some dudes here and there when I worked event security, but that's not really the same. I think my last street fight was at 23, 16 years ago. I taunted a carload of guys who asked me and a friend for cigarettes when we were walking to get some booze. I thought my friend was like the toughest guy ever, so I really told these guys off very aggressively basically wanting a fight, but I overestimated my friend a little because 3 guys got out and I had to fight 2 while he fought the biggest 1 (and a chick they were with meanwhile used a screeching attack to disorient us). I knocked out one little wuss but in doing so the momentum of my own punch made me topple onto the ground (I was drunk btw), then the other guy did a running soccer kick to the side of my face, and I kind of just laid there all dazed and confused while my friend actually had a fairly balanced boxing duel with the other big guy. The guy who kicked me luckily dragged his buddies back to the car, figuring it has gone about as good for him as it could, so better to quit while ahead. Overall though this silly skirmish was basically a draw. Though I could see an argument for me "losing". That was my last dumb fight really. Schoolyard fights were a few a year, every single year. I mean actual arranged fights that were planned days or even over a week in advance where we'd meet up at a certain time and place to fight. By then the whole school would know and there'd be a crowd of hundreds gathered. I actually used it as a tactic to psyche guys out. I'd pick on them and bully them for comedy reasons to make other people laugh, and then they'd sometimes snap and want to fight on the spot and I'd actually be a bit worried and be like "not now, next thursday at lunchtime on the main oval, pussy". Then for the next few days I'd look at them and do like the undertaker throat slashes and shit like that And they'd look progressively less sure of themselves as each day passed and gnawed away at them. By the time the actual fight started they'd be nervous wrecks all wide eyed and taking big gulps and nervously not sure whether to ball their fists or not, then I'd just casually rock them as hard as I could with a haymaker and usually that was the beginning of the end for them. On some occassions I think if I fought them when they were mad and fired up they would have beat me, but not many people can psychologically deal with an organised fight. I knew I had a rare level of composure and comfort in that situation so used that to my advantage. I also had a tradition where I'd organise a fight with someone every year at the school swimming carnival. The whole school would be at the pool so it was easy to arrange a fight somewhere on the other side of the school without being seen by teachers. I usually chose my opponent carefully though. I wasn't just gonna fight the biggest meanest roughest guys. I'm not actually a good fighter. Not really. I'm good for one big haymaker. Other than that I have good wrestling from a lifetime of rugby and roughhousing with cousins, but I have no actual boxing or kickboxing skill. I'm very susceptible to counters and parries and being set up by combos in a standing fight from people who know what they are doing. If fights did devolve into a wrestle I was then very good, but it actually used to be uncool to do that. Everyone would try and keep fights standing and basically have boxing matches with maybe knees and elbows. That was seen as the honorable cool way to fight. Sometimes when it did devolve into a wrestle and I suplexed a guy and then ground and pounded him or whatever he'd later be like "yeah but he wrestled so.. the fight was moot", like they didn't even lose. That was the mentality at the time. As a result I'd try and keep things standing whenever possible, even though I wasn't really good at it. I had to try and finish them early because the more drawn out the boxing match the more assuredly I would get clipped and go down. Despite this I had pretty good luck with my cunning strategic ways. Pretty much only lost 1 fight out right, and then also the one described above I guess might kind of make it 2. In both I was drunk and actually fell over from the force of my own haymaker. In the other one I totally missed, fell over and got laid on and punched in the back of the head repeatedly. Lol. And that was by a good rugby player too. But yeah the other ~25-30 something fights were all victories. Over mostly losers tbh, though among them some nerds who did martial arts, so... Having said that, I did decline fights with some nasty big guys, so technically those would be forfeits and therefore Ls.

If dogs are the final boss, you’re further along in your development of understanding animals than most people.
