To be fair, it was considered an adult free-roaming female, but I do agree with everything you stated.
While a Snow Leopard is smaller than a Cougar, I do think the Panthers can take down large animals relative to their size.
For example, there was a heavy preference for adult male Ibex and Argali by Snow Leopards.

I think the Snow Leopard killing the Horses in Himalayan India can be comparable to Cougars killing large animals in North America, while Snow Leopards predating on Argali and Ibex in Mongolia can be comparable to Cougars preying on Guanaco and Feral Deer in South America.
On the flip side, even for me, I wouldn’t do this. Snow leopards are BY FAR my favorite cat out of all of them, but im not over here trying to say that other big cat species don’t have impressive predation feats, which is in fact, farther from the truth. 🙄
