That is by definition an unfair comparison because cougars are much larger than snow leopards. Exactly, which is why I'm shocked that they're being compared.

“cats kill prey 5x their size alone”? I am not a strict dog fan, I’m not biased. But I still bring up ambushes and I also bring up gripping dogs I envy you. Not being emotionally attached to an animal is a breath of fresh air. Honestly, (I'm being sincere right now and not trolling), it's like you're experiencing freedom. You remind me of Zaheer from TLOK that let go of all feelings and emotions and attained the power of flight, weightlessness. It's a really hard burden to bear, being emotionally attached to an animal. It's one of the things that weighs one down and brings unnecessary sorrow. Just like, my favourite football club, my favourite singer, actor, all that shit. I'll keep striving and one day, I'll be free like you.

I think that if I am just a animal fan and don’t let emotions get in the way of analyzing then I can get the most logical results

That is by definition an unfair comparison because cougars are much larger than snow leopards. They're actually not much larger, but even so his evidence is bullshit. Assuming these animals were at their absolute expert peak. Also 2 bull moose? Bro needs to get out of his coma.

Snow Leopards still have impressive feats for their size. The Snow Leopard kills free-ranging Horses, including adults, throughout their home range. " Of the domestic ungulates, the yaks and horses range freely
Snow leopards also killed horses more than expected (χ L 2 = 31.31, df = 4, P < 0.01)
Thus the annual per capita loss in relation to the state’s annual per capita income is relatively higher in the GMWS compared with Kibber, which could be attributed to the greater proportion of adult (>5 years old) yaks (65% of total yak loss) and horses (52% of total horse depredation) lost to predators in the GMWS." Here is a Snow Leopard with a Zanskari Horse kill. The Zanskari is the most common breed in Ladakh, India. Their size: " 705-992 lbs (320-450 kg)" www.horsebreedspictures.com/zanskari-horse.aspFor a bonus, here is an actual case of a Snow Leopard killing an adult Wild Yak. source: Krofel, Miha, et al. "Snow leopard (Panthera uncia) predation and consumption of an adult yak in the Mongolian Altai." Ethology Ecology & Evolution 33.6 (2021): 636-643. I do think that a Snow Leopard taking down an adult Wild Cattle is comparable to a Tiger or Lion taking down their own respective adult Wild Cattles.

I agree that snow leopards have impressive predation feats. The big cats are remarkably strong for their size, all of them. I just disagreed with snow leopard being above cougar, that's all.

Those kills firmly placed snow leopards over the disgusting jigaboos called cougars.

I definitely agree snow leopards are underrated. But that yak isn't very large, and doesn't appear to be a wild yak. It looks to be a youngish female domesticated yak of maybe about 220 kgs. When yaks mature they have horns, quite huge horns for males, and also they have a skirt of long fur. Unusually, wild yaks are considerably larger than domestic yaks. Wild yaks also don't live in Mongolia, but domestic yaks are popular and abundant there. A nice feat never the less, maybe the horse more so.
I think a large male cougar could match them, however.

To be fair, it was considered an adult free-roaming female, but I do agree with everything you stated. While a Snow Leopard is smaller than a Cougar, I do think the Panthers can take down large animals relative to their size. For example, there was a heavy preference for adult male Ibex and Argali by Snow Leopards. source: Johansson Ö, McCarthy T, Samelius G, Andrén H, Tumursukh L, Mishra C. (2015) Snow leopard predation in a livestock dominated landscape in Mongolia. Biological Conservation. ;184:251–8. I think the Snow Leopard killing the Horses in Himalayan India can be comparable to Cougars killing large animals in North America, while Snow Leopards predating on Argali and Ibex in Mongolia can be comparable to Cougars preying on Guanaco and Feral Deer in South America.

For the record, I'm truly neither pro-cat nor pro-dog, but I'd argue that cats are cleaner and more efficient killers with large prey.

I just don’t get why hes fucking jerking off over cougar predation feats. I get it, they’re impressive. But cougars are most definitely overrated, I have never seen one shamed or doubted. Their predation feats are well known. On the flip side, even for me, I wouldn’t do this. Snow leopards are BY FAR my favorite cat out of all of them, but im not over here trying to say that other big cat species don’t have impressive predation feats, which is in fact, farther from the truth. 🙄 By the way, thanks for doing my research for me so I didn’t have to.
