Yes Camels are brutal. There's no doubt they could kill a gripping dog and actually I've heard of that happening anecdotally. However, with experience, fortitude, composure, technique and talent, the sky can be the limit for a gripping dog's capacity for subjugation. Where one might get stomped and destroyed easily, another dog that looks the same might succeed easily. Even where a whole pack fails and gets decimated and humiliated, one dog might waltz in and make the job look easy because he's a gifted pro and know what to do. Logically you can delineate through physics and reason that it's as simple as accurately obtaining the hold in the right place and keeping it, and then maybe using some minor little close-quarter footwork moves to stay out of trouble while the target exhausts itself trying to get free. There's an avenue of success for a dog who does the right things, and that's why there are some frankly silly feats of greatness to counter-balance these clips of dogs being kicked around by horses (like the account of the 35 lbs bulldog lugging a young elephant in colonial india). Of course a dog that misses or fails to get the hold, or loses the hold or is stupid with it's footwork or lack there of, it can all quickly go very very very bad and they can quickly look totally stupid or be killed depending on the quarry. Camels are in a special tier of quarry where punishment for messing up will be severe and brutal and dogs will likely die. That's true, but you can never quite count out all gripping dogs, especially on big ungulates which is where they over-achieve most impressively.

Camel vs Donkey is a rough one.

"Logical avenues of success" also apply to felines. If they surprise an animal and accurately get it by the throat or vertebra or mouth over it's airways and position themselves in a way where they can't be struggled against effectively, their potential "ceiling" is gonna be really quite elevated. I maintain I have seen a single lioness kill a full grown cape buffalo on more than one occassion (via suffocation) in documentaries, and yes it was just all skill and technique. Have seen whole prides with males get shitwhipped as well. Both can be true.

Camel vs Donkey is a rough one. Perhaps if it wasn't for the camel size advantage.

Slightly unrelated but why are camels so uniquely stupid? I saw some get mowed down with rifles and the herd pretended nothing happened.

Here is a Camel slamming a man.
The Camel was tied and had its neck slashed for a Muslim festival, bit could still put up a fight.

Yeah and that showcases how camel vs dog, or camel vs any predator man size or under, could potentially get pretty nasty if the camel gets hold. Kicking, Biting and tossing, kneeling and squashing, kneeling and squashing and biting all at once... The camel has quite an arsenal that it uses effectively. Very underrated fighters.

Also, dogs lose to constrictor snakes.
On the other hand, the Felidae in general can fight pretty well with snakes

It's certainly plausible that cats are better at snakes than dogs. Some dogs can be very good with snakes, but I do know cats are good with them also. The dogs I actually like are not good with snakes.
