AWD is one of the most formidable canids at parity. And even 4 of them can't win against a Brown Hyena that only weights 10-20lbs more. South African Wild Dogs average 70lbs, not much less than Brown Hyenas If I had to classify wild canids at parity in terms if impressiveness and formidability. Sure that would be IMO 1) Bush dog / Dhole 2) Grey wolf 3) AWD I know the AWD is more robust than the wolf but I have yet to find videos or instances of lone AWD taking down alone formidable preys.

Don't know enough about Dhole to classify them, but they probably get in the top 3

Here is a video of a Puma beating up a Dogo. Can anyone estimate how much that Puma weighted?

Good video honestly, as it genuinely overwhelmed the dogo in the grapple, but it weighs a lot more. When they weigh the same the dogo actually looks bigger. When they look the same the puma is bigger. When the puma looks significantly bigger like it does here, it is definitely a lot bigger. I got some screens of the best size comparison moments I could- There should be no doubt that is a very big male, it looks a lot bigger than the dog, and is even "more bigger" than that. I don't mind it at all, because I've always maintained such a puma would win, AND it actually invalidates all the excuses that get made when the dogo dominates. This just shows that if the puma is genuinely better and more powerful, it won't hesitate to dominate and won't be scared of the human presence or have stage fright or whatever else excuses used to be commonly used. When the dogo does win it wins because it is stronger and a better grappler, in this case it was not, and thats a - ok with me.

Here is a video of a Puma beating up a Dogo. Can anyone estimate how much that Puma weighted? Cat looks at least 130lbs and the dog looks like a 70lb "subadult" Dogo. It has the dimensions of an adult Dogo but is clearly not filled out, and dogs like this often do reach their height and length before they begin to fill out and gain muscle and bone density etc. etc. Yes that's the same Dogo from the video, BTW. There was a 2nd video, maybe grippingwhiteness can post it as he's the one who had it. There's also a Dogal-looking thing hanging around for what it's worth but obviously wasn't participating.

In North Argentina female Pumas are 30 to 40kg and males are 40 to 50kg, in Southern Patagonia homever males average out 70kg, no Dogo has a chance against that That Puma didn't seem that large, 50kg is my personal guesstimate

There is also this video of a Leopard that has seemingly killed a Dogo in a fight, can we estimate the Leopard's weight?

About 50kg is my estimate for the Puma in the video, for comparison this is Messi, he is a Puma that was adopted from the Zoo by a Russian family because of multiple health problems that made him unable to live there. He is about 40kg and he is still big.

That's a bloated street dog used as bait, and it's not a Dogo or anything that could be an analogue for a Dogo. The dog was probably killed by the humans first. Why would they start recording when the dog is already eaten and rotting away? That dog has been a carcass for days.

That captive puma is much smaller in frame, it is a little fat, but when it gets down on the groun you can see it is small (short and juvenile). The puma in that video is huge and mature. The other video is part of a bloated street dog carcass, we have no reason to believe it has any connection to any fight, let alone a fight between a combatively capable dog and a leopard. Just wish you wouldn't reach so hard.

This doesn't hold a lot of weight by itself, but I figure it's worth posting here - Interesting comment.
