I moved them to JUST below continental herder, not sure I can do better than that. That was imagining the most rugged free range akbash

For comparison, in which places of the ranking would you put different wild Predators in combat-specialization? Would maned wolf be below toy?

For comparison, in which places of the ranking would you put different wild Predators in combat-specialization? Would maned wolf be below toy? The most combat-happy wild predators could probably think about slotting in around 12, just above rustic LGDs. I am thinking of wolverines and bears. Maybe even Lions. Quite a few might actually squeeze between terriers and LGDs.

Pariahs could probably rightly argue that they should be higher. The Basenji is actually right there with the rugged spitz breeds.

Elephant Seals and Sea lions could possibly elevate into the combat dog ranks.

Quite a few might actually squeeze between terriers and LGDs. Where would Smilodon Fatalis/Populator be? I suppose when we are factoring in predatory feats... it is tricky when "combat specialised" is being stretched over quite a few bases. There's a case for smilodons WAY UP near bulldogs if we are just talking prey-size capacity, and when you do that you could also think about putting lions and tigers and polar bears up with warhounds. Then you feel compelled to say "hey coastal brown bears are more combative than polar bears", which is true, but not in predatory feats, so... like I said, very puzzling with the different considerations. These predators with decent feats aren't necessarily combat happy the way a terrier is, or even as combat happy as other wild carnivores are like sea lions, brown bears, wolverines, elephant seals, etc.

Elephant Seals and Sea lions could possibly elevate into the combat dog ranks. Crocodiles? Idk, can we really use the term "combat specialised"? They are stealth kill specialised, basically 100%. Combat?

The placement of curs is bothering me a little, I dunno if they really should be above continental herders... when you consider the hardened attack herders... but even those herders would probably cur out on any hogs that curs do. So... probably right. Bolushi might also be mad if they go any lower.

Your list disrespects a bunch of fairly scrappy dog types and the bird dogs are taking the biggest hit.
