Interesting catches, your fish to random other animal ratio is unusual.
Maybe you should start a fishing channel on youtube documenting these captures. Fishing channels do well, especially with clickbaity thumbnails with text on them like "WTF WAS THIS THING?!!?"

Fishing channels do well, especially with clickbaity thumbnails with text on them like "WTF WAS THIS THING?!!?" I should consider herping. Unfortunately there isn’t much reptile and amphibian variety in northern Illinois and the summers are too short. Basically bullfrogs, water snakes, garter snakes, snapping turtles, and softshell turtles. MAYBE a mudpuppy here and there. Those are really the only noteworthy finds. I envy Australian and Floridian wildlife.
