IIRC Brogan from cf was an avid fisherman. Yeah, he was a general American hunt guy. 99% of guys who have something to do with bird dogs also do fishing. And Brogan was a bird dog guy.

I went fishing with mates once but only one did all the fishing. The rest of us enjoyed a BBQ.

I’m limited to open water fishing and areas within biking distance.

YouTubers like Extreme Philly Fishing, FirstStateFishing, 1rod1reelfishing, and of course Jeremy Wade are who got me into fishing.

Need to do it again, I just get salty when I watch his videos since I don't do it now... lol, plus I have to watch him eat this amazing food and I just can't do it.

I went fishing twice and I felt sorry for the fish. Don't think I'd make much of a hunter either. I shot a pig once and missed. The bullet went through it's ear, and the farmer had to take the rifle and get the job done.

My dad has boats and is totally obsessed with fishing as his number 1 passion, so yeah. I've been fishing a lot. Some of the frequented places. Moreton bay- Noosa River Eliot River Jumpinpin Channel Mooloolaba Stradbroke Island Bribie Island Whitsundays Fraser island In fact, I did it so much in my late teens and early 20s, got so much salt water and sand in my asshole, I got a little sick of it and decided I prefer the inland countryside. So I actually prefer now to fish in freshwater creeks and rivers I also have a pretty sick fishing kayak (not my photo obviously but I have this exact model) I get a kick out of those go-pro footages on YouTube where fishermen go out to sea in those fishing kayakes and end up getting stalked sharks.

Only fished a few times. First times as a child was saltwater fishing and I never caught anything. Following that I went to a river for some night fishing and caught a dozen catfish in probably an hour.
My father's father was a fisherman and made his own rods, although he passed before I was born so I never got to fish with him.

Just catfish after catfish after catfish the second you throw the line in. Worms under a float. It's funnish but the fact it's so easy makes catfish get "old" pretty quick. Most fisherman in Oz hate them.

I get a kick out of those go-pro footages on YouTube where fishermen go out to sea in those fishing kayakes and end up getting stalked sharks. I've actually never had my Kayak in the sea. Doesn't really appeal to me, think you'd have to be quite the endurance athlete and you'd just be out there getting cooked, also yeah the roughness of the sea would be a problem. I like to be on a pretty big boat with a pretty fast motor in the ocean. I don't even like lakes, just sort of paddling and paddling and paddling and going no where on the big expansive body of water. I actually time my treks up the river with the tide. Sort of ride the tide up and then ride it going out on the way back. I like exploring the little nooks and crannies up the tributaries and etc, sneak up silently on turtles sun basking and herons fishing and etc etc. It's very peaceful and private, just the sounds of nature. I still haven't figured out a way to include my dogs. You could take a small terrier or something, but not big dogs. I've been thinking maybe a big canoe with a quiet electric motor could possibly accomodate dogs coming along on these adventures.
