I did a bit of fishing, still have a rod, didn't catch shit besides tiny things. They looked like tilapias except smaller and inedible. I want to catch a catfish or bass or something edible but was never able, doesn't help that the areas I was fishing at were shit. Really like Ace Videos's fishing stuff, wish I could do that too, but I'm too bad at fishing to catch anything besides tiny fish and turtles. One time I was using a long hook and it went through the turtle's head and it was bleeding pretty bad as it ran into the water.

I’m pretty sure everyone has been fishing So to what degree? I’ve been fishing at a lake and I’ve mostly caught fish like bluegill and small bass. But I have also caught trout

My dad has boats and is totally obsessed with fishing as his number 1 passion, so yeah. I've been fishing a lot. Some of the frequented places. Moreton bay- Noosa River Eliot River Jumpinpin Channel Mooloolaba Stradbroke Island Bribie Island Whitsundays Fraser island In fact, I did it so much in my late teens and early 20s, got so much salt water and sand in my asshole, I got a little sick of it and decided I prefer the inland countryside. So I actually prefer now to fish in freshwater creeks and rivers I also have a pretty sick fishing kayak (not my photo obviously but I have this exact model)

Do they try to bite the rod? Also that's a cool kayak. Have you ever interacted with the dingoes on fraser island?

Boss has been caught by a lure to the lips. Had to literally wrestle him down and remove the treble hooks with pliars, was a two man job and quite the ordeal. My current dogs will bite the fish after they are caught and on the end of the line, but no hook ups yet. We used to take boss on some boating trips, I had a photo of him cruising on the boat but can't seem to find it.
I actually only went to fraser island once (and whitsundays once too, and Eliot River - they are all up north a bit), threw them in because they are cool but they aren't really "regulars". The others are regulars. My dad goes to Fraser all the time and battles with the dingoes, lol. I'd like to go back with a focus on observing the dingoes.

Yeah, I’m semi-good at bass fishing. There are lots of lakes and ponds in my area.

I've also caught australian bass in Lake Somerset, in fact that was the first fish I caught Australian Bass are a little different from american bass. I couldn't name all the marine species I have caught. Lots of snapper, red emperor, Coral trout, Threadfin Salmon, Flathead, Estuary cod, Mangrove Jack, Giant Trevally, Shovelnose sharks, mackeral, tuna.... many more. Freshwater you get way too many catfish and eels but occassionally bass, Silver perch, yellow belly, murray cod.

The fish I were catching hung out with minnows but were a good bit larger than the minnows, they'd be right up by the edge of the pond but the bigger type of fish hung in the back only coming when I threw in some food. Anyone know what it could possibly be? Was a shade of gray and in west central florida. Was in a drainage pond I think, I have a video that's not of the pond but it's the same thing right next to the pond I was fishing at: I was recording gators if you can tell, 9 (10?) year old me was not a good photographer. Don't think David Attenborough would do a voice over on that one.

I remember I saw a youtube video where a guy just put a gopro down in the water of a ditch on the side of the road and it looked like a tropical aquarium.
