Take this typing test and tell us your typing speed: www.keyhero.com/free-typing-test/I did about 7 tests. My slower tests got down to 70 wpm and the fastest was 105. The 105 test was a shorter test than most of the other tests. Most of my tests were at 80 - 90. The vast majority of words I was fluent with, but I regularly encountered some words I had to slow down for, which drastically slowed my overall speed. The words I had to slow down for tended to be the ones I made mistakes on and had to backspace. In most of my tests I made a couple of mistakes and had to backspace. I could only get over 100 wpm if I didn't make any mistakes and barely had to slow down for any words.

Nope... that is really good. My testing typing speed with 100% accuracy is 63 wpm. That was a while ago but I don't think I'm faster now, possibly even slower. You have well above "legal typist" speed. The only person I've known personally with a faster speed than you is my step daughter, the sprinter, who is just weirdly good at everything. She had a typing speed over 120 wpm. But yeah even my 63 wpm is technically "quite good", yours is fantastic.

40 wpm is the "average", like the "100 IQ" of typing speeds. So for chicken plucking that is actually pretty good LBJ.

I tried this the first time and got a result of 94WPM with 98% accuracy. When I was a kid I could type much faster than now as we learned that at school and actually had to do an exam on proper typing.

Maybe this is an over-easy typing test, I've never done them before so wouldn't know.

I've taken a million typing tests back in the day, I actually worked as a data entry clerk as my first job and then an office administrator and typing tests were a big deal in that "career". If I don't score around 63 something is off.

It's weird I consider myself a good Typer, it's been my job and I clack away at a pretty fast pace imo and in the opinion of people who see me type. When I heard about 80 wpm legal typists I thought it was just ridiculous, then I heard about 100+ and thought it can't physically be real. Then my stepdaughter cracked 120 which is apparently top 1% of even elite professional typists. So I guess there's always levels.
I will say reading and replicating what you see by typing is not something that comes naturally. I do wonder what my "really mad at a can fan and it's all spewing out of my brain" speed is. It's definitely quicker than my typing test speed.
