You should get the newer one with emerald coast DLC. is HD space or money the issue? Silver Ridge Peaks is better for newer players in my opinion. Very open so you can see animals very easily. Plus their spawn rates seem to be higher than in the other ones

They're pretty much the same it seems, right? I've watched a few videos on Hunter:COTW, and it honestly seems no different. BTW, can everyone make a free account using this link signup.thehunter.com?ref=adderfang so I get rewards for referring people.

I dunno, I haven't played that version. I just think the emerald coast DLC and the bloodhound and etc is cool. I was even gonna offer to pay for it for you. Then you could endure the cheesey australian accents of the "guides".

Then you could endure the cheesey australian accents of the "guides". Hmm, bloodhound does sound cool, and it apparently has a "finland area". I could save up game currency and buy a bloodhound in this game though. Sweden area in my game is the same animals as finland area in the other. I don't play with sound, too distracting. Yes, I miss a lot of animal clues because of it, but I might slip up on a shot because a fox started screaming in the background. What guides by the way? The game has guides? But no, I refuse to let you buy it for me. I might eventually bring myself to buy it, or I might just play the one I have.

Yeah they are constantly talking to you over a two way radio. A man and a woman that own the property you are hunting on, I find listening a little annoying too because I usually like to multitask and have a podcast going on my computer at the same time while I play on my tv. I haven't been playing much for that reason, and also why I don't like starfield, like I have to pay too much attention and keep stopping the video I'm watching. I feel like times have changed and games that require too much attention seem outdated. I want to zone out when I'm playing a game. Skate 3 and turbo golf racing suit me better.

I've been playing the Australia: Emerald Coast DLC, with the bloodhound dlc. Kinda gay because the bloodhound can only track animals AFTER you shoot them. Very stupid. Like it follows you around rather than vice versa and then you can put it on a blood trail after you shoot something, and even then it's not that useful. I imagine this is how dumb people are when it comes to hunting with dogs and why public perception of hunting dogs is so low. But at least it makes it very very hard to shoot something. I'm still tracking the first goat I managed to hit. A Labrador Retriever DLC is releasing on november 28, i would like them to add some Boarhound but i don't blame them since it would be hard to Code and they would also need to introduce a knife and it's mechanics for it to be realistic

Yeah I feel like they will never get the mechanics for it right. Or they are so far off anyway. Even the way the bloodhound works is kind of bullcrap. Its like they need to get motion sensors on different types of dogs, and maybe prey animals as well, in order to get the animations, which they almost certainly are never gonna do. Which is a shame. A whole new "The hunter" game revolving around dogs would be so cool. If I was making it I'd set it in the 80s and have your player check the weekly newspaper to see what hunting dogs were for sale (which is actually how it was like when I was a kid), then buy pups and train them. Have them level up to a point, but then you need to try and breed them when they are at their peak because they will start getting old and eventually die, and in that way you breed your own lineage and they get better and better... yes I have thought about this before.

Playing the Silver Ridge Peaks map right now (i recommend it, cool animal variety and a lot of large open plains that make it easy to hunt). For some reason 70kg+ male Pumas and especially 85kg+ ones are far more easy to spook and flee much more easily than females and smaller males. Which is weird since in real Life you would expect the opposite to be true. With large males being more combative.

Saw a Lvl9 Legendary running away from me as soon as i posted that message lol. Anyways. That's actually good news since i now know there is a likely diamond in this location.

Chasing after the Lvl9 Puma's tracks right now, there are only 3 Pumas in this region, a small Lvl2 female, a big Lvl7 male a bit south from here and the Lvl9 Monster. Just heard a male Puma doing a growling noise and hunting. Most likely the Lvl9 since the Lvl7 isn't as far North. Should give the Lvl9 a cool name.

After a few days i finally shot him while he was drinking at a lake. Died almost instantly since my bullet went through both of his lungs, Diamond and a hefty 98kg. .

I got bored with mine and switched to nba2k24 (if I play anything at all). I seem to have a very low tolerance for most games these days. I was looking forward to starfield for literal years and then played less than one afternoon.

Check out Way of the Hunter much less arcade-y and realistic (if that's what you're going for). I like watching this guy called Accurize2 play it, seems to know what he's doing. Anyway there's none of this goofy little notification box thingy telling you levels and stuff. It's just completely hands on with no HUD. Unfortunately no dogs AFAIK. But the only other down-side it has is this really boring and cringe story line (I don't even know why a hunting game of all things would need a story line) but otherwise it's a really cool game. Also hunts are a fair bit harder without all the HUDs telling you exactly where the fauna is, you'll have to track the AI and you also might need to keep a note of where things spawn (drinking spots and stuff). Really just a more nuanced and interesting take on the Hunting simulator genre. Here's a first look series by the guy I mentioned (he also did hunter call of the wild if you wanna look more into it, but i just watched his dredge series and this first look series, don't know if his hunter vids are any good) this is the whole playlist so unfortunately won't be able to put this in the video insert thingy; www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoWC44omKkwF28JcaThTLH2M0JnMYLwxD
