I've been playing the Australia: Emerald Coast DLC, with the bloodhound dlc. Kinda gay because the bloodhound can only track animals AFTER you shoot them. Very stupid. Like it follows you around rather than vice versa and then you can put it on a blood trail after you shoot something, and even then it's not that useful. I imagine this is how dumb people are when it comes to hunting with dogs and why public perception of hunting dogs is so low. But at least it makes it very very hard to shoot something. I'm still tracking the first goat I managed to hit.

Honestly no. I played for a bit and found it boring as hell. Have been looking forward to it for years but... I dunno...

The goat got away, but I since bagged 3 kangaroos. 2 of them attacked me and attacked my bloodhound and it did nothing.

In that same day i was also stalking a Lvl9 Cape Buffalo but when i shot it and passed the harvest test it turned out that it barely missed Diamond and was actually Gold.

I might play. Is it free? Does it require download? Not free but it semi-frequently gets on sale for 7 euros or so. Very worth it.

The game is getting better I will say. I had to travel north into more rainforesty sort of country with Feral pigs and Rusa, got more guns and my bloodhound is levelling up and starting to actually find tracks before I shoot things. I also figured out how to feed it dog biscuits and pat it and play with it, lol. I think the game is good at giving you a sense for how big and "wild" private properties can be in Australia. You really go on epic voyages on your 4 wheeler and sleep overnight in different outposts and stuff, all while being on the same property.

Then I bagged a bull Would you/have you ever gone hunting in real life with just a gun and no dogs/only bailers? I used to hunt birds with my dad when I was a kid, lol, he'd have an air rifle and I had a slingshot, but he'd give me a go sometimes. I've been out camping with other guys shooting roos and goats, but didn't really participate, doesn't appeal to me. I was just there to drink. I had no interest in hunting until I started taking boss into the wilderness in my 20s and he'd flush hares, then something clicked, but to me it is more about the dog. I got boss for PP but then I realised hunting is cooler and switched back to the hunting dogs my family members had which I took for granted.

Just found The Hunter: Classic is free on steam. I'll just do that instead.
