I am aware of this specimen. It is just that I thought there was another near 100kg leopard discovered in Iran.
I guess the Persian, Congo and South African leopards are the biggest or most robust specimens out there.

In my opinion, there's nothing more wrong and senseless than judging an animal based on its fan base. Regardless of what you mean. I'm no longer on the Mammalia discord site, albeit an experts rich server, because of this same reason. People there considered dinosaurs boring and didn't like them because their fanbase is made mostly by paleonerds etc. I mean how retarded this logic actually is? So not I have to not like dogs because many dog owners are irresponsible arrogant shit-heads that breed their dogs just for looks, lbs, or to display them as trophies rather than having them as companions?
Leopards are some of the first animals I came in contact with as a kid when I was learning about animals and their names, after dinosaurs obviously (they will always have a special place in my heart, sometimes I don't know if I love dinosaurs more than modern animals or viceversa) and I did it by watching this documentary which remains my favourite animal documentary to this day. About a female leopard named Legadema. She's the famous leopardess that killed a female baboon and adopted its baby.
She was last seen in 2015 I recall, she's surely dead by old age now but she's always remain my favourite leopard forever. Funnily enough my favourite leopard isn't a huge 200+ lb strong male, but a female.
This documentary made me discover leopards and it became a passion nearly unrivaled. Everything about them instantly fascinated me.
Their obvious unmatched feline perfect aesthetic, both in shape and in pattern (always loved those rosettes)
Their spirit. Wild, untamable, elusive, mysterious, silent and reserved but extremely deadly and dangerous if provoked. In fact they are in the top 3 of the most terrible maneaters aswell
Just like what I am. I am the quiet guy in the corner that suddenly starts looking at your and moving slowly in your direction. I have both feline mysteriousness and dog gameness inside of me which is probably one of the deadliest mixes you can get.
Imagine a creature with the silent mysteriousness of a feline but the fighting mentality of a dog. Imagine what ultimate creature this would be. Leopards are a bit like that, sure they are elusive and fugitive most of the time but when cornered they are like rabid crazy bastards . Shot leopards have charged and mauled hunters into oblivion, some leopards even straight up challenged and attacked male lions despite having already been severely injured by the latter. Crazy mfers, another reason why I love them.
They are also sacred to me. Symbol of the "art of deceiving" in my Pantheist trinity, which symbolizes that in nature everything colored or esthetically beautiful is dangerous.

Other two massive males from Argentinian wetlands, where they coexist with jaguars but despite being subordinate to them they are still able to achieve large and impressive sizes

Enormous male from Kenya with a rounded and wide skull. In the second picture it's always the same male and its having a standoff with a young lioness. Both are close in size and subadult lionesses are generally 200-250 lbs so I'd estimate this male to be around 190+ lbs

Time to show two of what I think are the largest Persian leopards I've seen out there.
Here's Arshia also called "Alpha male", he's one of the largest leopards I've seen and he's obviously from Mazandaran, North Iran. I've had a short conversation with the photographer who named it after himself and he guessestimated the leopard to be 211 - 220 lbs in his opinion. He's photographed a lot of leopards so his estimate may be truthful.
Looking at the pictures we can see it clearly, he's large enough to bring down a fully grown wild boar. But the most impressive thing is his massive frame. Persian leopards have the biggest skulls among leopards yet look how small the heads on huge males look related to their enormous bodies. An absolute monster by any standard. Judging his enormous size and relatively small head he might very potentially be around 220 lbs or even more since he does look just as massive as Dark or Scar from Patagonia
Here's another monster from the same region and he looks just as large and bulky as Arshia, as he also has a massive head that looks still relatively small compared to its massive body frame. He also moves around as if he's very heavy weight too.
