Labrador Whippet Dobermans were considered terriers before?

Love the dalmatian, lol. Not just "still working" but really going above and beyond their job description by the look of it. Seems to think its a lugger.
The breed needs to be understood as an "all purpose gun dog", basically a pointer and retriever and spaniel (flusher) and scenthound and bay dog etc in one, same as the weimeraner and viszla. But I will say I have always noticed that dalmatians are kind of scrappy, picking fights with my dogs a disproportionately high number of times relative to encounters. I don't know if they are the toughest gun dog though, the drahthaar might have something to say about that, but still impressed by these boar hunting specimens.

Mongrel bulldogs used as backup for the Boergrey(s) on brown hyenas. Makes sense. Hoping to find some stuff with just Boergreys or wolfhounds, but this was a very cool find.

Canario x Dobermann. Probably adds some good speed. Still not useless imo I'd rather cross presas with Staghounds if I looked for speed.

I've heard of "Dogals" being made with Doberman but it's not common or preferred at all. Solid sighthound is your best bet.

I really dislike dobermans, but crossed with a presa would improve them a lot. Seems like it would be a good cross actually. Especially for PP and dog sport stuff.

Good news pal, remember me saying very firmly that the old videos you have been watching of volkodavs beating gripping dogs were not valid as a true evidence of LGD>gripping dogs? Turns out that one scrubbed 2009 russian site which doesn't work anymore confirmed my point. 99% of those videos are on mail.ru and unavailable because either private or deleted, but something remained and it's about Gabo, the most powerful of all the volkodavs of that era. He's exactly that famous giant white dog claimed to be an "alabai" on many videos that defeated that bullterrier and here you can see him fighting with other LGDs, the same bullterrier at the end and before against a large Apbt....which didn't get destroyed like the bull terrier...but instead endured enough and made Gabo will to flee the arena. But that's not all, you know what? The same Gabo, claimed again as the most powerful Volkodav ever, lost against other two "large pitbulls" named Killer and Borya Sadly the videos aren't available anymore -
The final blow, Gabo apparently lost against another apbt named Hector. Unfortunately these russian sites from 2009, now dead, have no images or displayed footage of the actual fights but we finally got our evidence, note that I've read the claim from some russians in the site that claim once the "bulldog" (definitely referring to apbts) is 45 lbs or more there's no spark for the "Wolfhound" (the Volkodav). And the fact that actual "large" pitbulls (so not even pure apbts probably but mutts) defeated Gabo, the strongest Volkodav of that time, makes me giggle a lot.
But take a look again at this video compilation Do you also see what I see? Pets. Dominance fighting. That's what I see, from their movements, from their nose-to-nose eye contact before a fight, from their humping. These are not game bred dogs, even the nost elite fighting Volkodavs as I imagined are just as shit as mail.ru street pet fighters. I should track down Musth who said that the pet dogos defeated pet alabais....now we have the evidence that these "elite fighting LGDs" are of the same type of level as those street fighters ...shit.
You can also see the pitbull that made Gabo flee has also that aggressive pet faggotish mentality as he's also very goofy during the fight: stops, wanders around, looks at Gabo, growls and apporaches, gives a bite, releases.
That's not the game bred dogs we know about. That's not the game bred dogs that would launch themselves full speed, lug on the LGD and keep mauling and fighting till their lungs have no oxygen.
You see that these dogs see other dogs as dogs, they fight for dominance. Game bred apbts see other dogs on the ring like smelly inferior vermins and prey , inferior to their kind, to exterminate immediately. With the same way hunting trained dogos see caged pumas or boars. I'm not 110% sure that a real hunting experienced dogo with the same mentality of dogos in old cage fights and boar hunting videos will definitely slaughter any LGD.
So we can finally end this idea of "LGD>gripping dogs". Any proper game bred boarhound or fighting apbt that sees the opponent as a vermin instead of a dog to dominate is too much for any LGD.
We can say loud and clear, once for all, that gripping dogs are above all dogs in the world in terms of fighting abilities.
