I kinda wish my state had cougars, you hear about the odd sighting now and then, though most are attributed to misidentified bobcats and stray cats.
Even Illinois bobcats are rare though..

I've seen a few bobcats here, even a mother with cubs once. A few deer and even 2 or so Florida Panther sightings. My neighborhood sucks and is shit now because of development so now nothing is here though. |

No coyotes here in Florida, but in Illinois (Elgin) you can hear them. It's weird that I've seen florida panthers and bobcats but no coyotes. They've attacked dogs in Port Charlotte which is right next to my city, and I've never seen a coyote here. I live about half an hour away from Elgin, lol. |

I read a post by Black Ice on cf, and it actually made sense. Dogs don't do a lot of damage quickly like wolves, generally speaking. The dogs closest to wolves are 2/4ths a wolf's size, so even if they could, which I think they can, their damage output is a good bit inferior. Wolfdogs have also been observed having that ''killing apparatus'', you could perhaps get a 50/50 wolfdog, or something close to it. Black Ice specifically talked about a guy who had Great Danes, wolves and wolfdogs. And when the fight was over, even if brief, the dog came out worse for wear. And wolves did more damage to each other... It could be that Great Danes are gripping dogs that do crushing damage, but I think there's actually some merit to that idea. I think if you were to do that, the dog would have to be quite tall for a big skull and wolf dentition, which may take away from the Ambully look. It'd likely look more like a Bullwolfhound. Perhaps a lot like Diesel. And the wolf blood might also fuck everything. But hey, you don't know until you try. And yes, I am genuinely entertaining the idea of a wolf or wolfdog being introduced to your hypothetical line of Ambully-based gripping dogs. It sounds really OP if everything goes to plan. |
