If you actually read context, the reason why we say Border Collies would live in an encounter with a snake, even pythons are due to their evasive strategies being advanced. And even then, my favorite cat is the Snow Leopard. I do acknowledge though that a Border Collie may be safe in an encounter with a Snow Leopard due to them being evasive and fast, and could potentially dodge the snow leopards blows. Am I then saying Snow Leopards couldn’t kill a Border Collie if they got their hands on them? Absolutely not. But the chance of catching them is low to non-existent, so neither are winning. |

Humans are a great ape, and great apes have decent evasive abilities but it wouldn’t stop a snake and wouldn’t compare. Cattle, I don’t have even have to say why because its known. Deer have excellent evasive abilities but don’t try with snakes. Other predators, yet not snakes. Cougars are not even a decent example, they don’t have good evasive abilities. Being a cat also means this. Hyenas have bad evasive abilities because of their build, its slouchy and doesn’t offer much in terms of stamina, yet more endurance. This includes foxes and carpet pythons.
