I only really play nba2k23 these days (and nba2k22 before that). I don't take it that seriously, just something to do when I get a chance to put my feet up, have a scotch and listen to a podcast. I did dabble in this weird car-golf game recently "Turbo Golf Racing". Again just something to play online while relaxing. Another I might play mindlessly is SKATE 3 (I actually used to be a legit skateboarder when I was the age of most of you). For games I used to actually get into for real, where I'm focussing on it and following the story and etc. I'd say the GOAT for me is still Skyrim. Followed by probably red dead redemption 2, red dead redemption 1, fallout 3 and fallout new vegas. They'd be my "top 5" still, even though they're all pretty old (fallout 4 and fallout 76 and elder scrolls online etc all suck to me). I am hoping that MAYBE Starfield (made by the same people as fallout 3 and skyrim) will be a new game I can get into.

I had an IBM home PC in the 80s with games I can't remember that well which looked like this- I remember one where you were a moon buggy jumping rocks and shit. Green with black background. Later I recall having hundreds of "MS DOS" games on a 386 like this- Which then got upgraded to a 486 and later a "pentium" which was like the top shit. I had games like wolfenstein, doom, cosmo's cosmic adventures, commander keen, jill of the jungle, mortal kombat, street fighter 2, Monster Bash, Budokan, Shinobi, etc etc etc. Literally hundreds of games you'd activate by typing stuff. I still remember: Cd/games/keen4 would activate commander keen 4, for example. Don't know why "CD" because it was before cds even existed. All along the way I also had consoles on the TV. Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Sega Megadrive (genesis in US), nintendo 64, playstation 1, x box... My friend had most of the "other" ones I didn't have so I played all of them- commodore 64, Nintendo entertainment system, super nintendo... Even back then I liked NBA games, NBA Jam, NBA Showdown and NBA live. Also Madden. Mutant league football and mutant league hockey might be my favourite console games from that era. On playstation 1 I thought tony hawk games were awesome. Better still were arcade machines, which used to be on every street corner almost. Like this- They were the best, and I still remember heaps of great games from them- Fatal Fury, 3 count bout, King of the monsters (1 and 2), Sunset Riders, Alien vs Predator, X men, Punisher, TMNT, 2020 super baseball (set in the distant future of 2020 with robot players and shit), art of fighting, robocop, samurai showdown, metal slug, knights of the round... Arcade games were the shit tbh. Then of course moved into ps2, xbox 360, ps3, xbox 1, ps4... right now I have an xbox series x. Don't play on PC anymore, stopped after MS DOS games.

Whenever I was younger I uses to always play the Rayman games. Especially Rayman Origins. The gameplay was great in the game. That's the main reason I played it....but not the only reason, of course:

Have only vaguely heard of "Rayman", by the time it came out I may have thought I was too cool for a cartoony platform game or... I dunno, just missed out on it.

I love RDR2 but I am currently stranded in online mode with no bullets and a knife, and I can only get limited bullets by killing people with bullets, and I'm stuck on this stupid story mode level. But it's a very cool good game I've just fucked myself and made it unfun. Fallout and Skyrim I've never played, IDFK what they are but they seem a little too fictional and sci-fi for me. One game I'd kinda like to try sometime is "Far Cry". Sounds cool just based off of that one dude making the animals fight lol.

My favorite game was all the way up until recently Minecraft, I was addicted somewhat until I got heavily into dogs and animals and slowly drifted away. When I was early 9yo to early 13yo I was a total Hypixel Bedwars sweat. I was well-known and there's a guy named "Purpled" who recently quit his main channel but when he had around 10-20K subscribers I was in his guild and it was all very good players. Right now he has 1 million... this was 3-4 years ago. I was really good at the game. I used to stream snipe him but I died both times. I also participated in 2 of his tournaments where I got railed but somewhat due to poor internet or a dumb mistake. I had these 2 accounts, one named "PharaohSlayer" and "mcmaddy2004", which were given to me by a friend after my main account got banned for hacking. I was doing it for funsies, and it was really early when watchdog was total shit and I got away with it for a few hours. PharaohSlayer I had around mid-2018-early/mid 2019. If my old YouTube channel wasn't banned I'd still have videos of me playing on those accounts. Then the PharaohSlayer account was taken back which I didn't know actually had an owner after a year of playing on it. Then I switched to mcmaddy2004 and had to add all my friends again, I had many pages of friends but only played with maybe 10-20. So I spend mid-2019 - mid-2020 on mcmaddy2004 which I then got locked out of and couldn't get back into. So I had to get ANOTHER account which I ended up buying myself since I wasn't going to deal with that shit happening to me again. Here's my NameMC account, my most recent skin is the one I've had for the past 2 years and I think it's scary and cool. namemc.com/profile/Bolushi.1All of those accounts got to around 125 stars on Bedwars, I'd be 300 something stars by now had that not happened. "PharaohSlayer" and "mcmaddy2004"s following died out, was friends with a lot of good famous-ish people since I was around so early when Bedwars was a relatively niche, tight community but by the time I bought my account everyone had already stopped adding friends due to the overwhelming amount of people who wanted them on their friends list. Anyways still, I was known as a very very good player in late 2020-2021 but around 2022 I began to deteriorate a little. THEN, sometime in late-ish 2022 I lost my fucking D key from pressing it for 2 years, and had a glued on A key I learned to work with. However losing that D key was the nail in the coffin for me. I have a new setup now but the motivation isn't there to actually go and get better again. I've tried my hand on it but I'm not good at playing with an actual keyboard. Great at typing but not playing competitively. I spent those years playing on a laptop keyboard. Also I was in the modded Minecraft community for the longest time and now everyone hates me for raiding servers and also offending mentally ill teenagers by shit talking trans people. I actually made a friend who was vouching for me that I was hacked and it wasn't me etc. etc. but then I told him a disturbing story and he blocked me forever leaving me without an alibi and I was banned everywhere forever. Fun times, fun times. I never got into other games besides GTA5 (I don't do missions I just terrorize the public) and when I was young I played "Hill Climb Racing". My favorite game now is... I don't know. I don't play many games anymore. That's my gaming history in a nutshell that I don't think most people here would actually understand what I'm talking about.

My kids play minecraft, my oldest daughter started playing when she was literally like 2 or 3, now the little 7 year old one plays but my older daughter seems addicted to roblox at the moment, which she has always played, same as the little one, but for some reason the bigger one is so addicted to roblox now she stopped playing minecraft altogether. The younger daughter actually used to play goat simulator most of the time, and liked being the flamingo. But she's on a minecraft kick at the moment. I played with them a little, I guess it's ok. The only game I've been "good at", like legitimately, was tony hawk pro skater 2 demo. It was a special pre-release version of tony hawk 2, with just the "marseilles" level, and it was like a competition being held around the world to get the highest score. Me and a friend just played it non stop while smoking weed, and we got insanely good at it. My friend better than me, unfortunately, but the funny thing is BOTH of us beat the actual world record, only it was AFTER the contest closed. The winner of the contest scored 3.5 million or something. My friend got 6 million and I got 4.5 million or something like that. As soon as you hit 1 million your score would turn into these rainbow squares and you wouldn't know what you got until the end. No one else we knew could even get 1 million or really close at all. If it was an "online game" at the time we would have been two of the best players in the world. Here found mention of that contest- link

I'm ranked #31 on this godzilla ps4 game. It costs like 1000 bucks for a new copy on Amazon lol.

I was called like 'vxrtecks' I think. Something cringe-y like that. I was terminated though. First I was banned for like a week for exploiting. Exploiting is essentially inserting foreign commands into a game that wasn't meant to be in the game. It's not life threating. Not as bad as hacking. I was then permanently banned for bypassing like a year or so later. And just to warn you Hardcastle, Roblox is a dangerous game. I learned a lot of stuff off of roblox that I shouldn't have known. I wouldn't be surprised if your older daughter was playing sketchy games secretly. 'Cos I did when I was younger. Not saying she is...just be wary. And P.S. be prepared for when your daughter hits like, 13. She'll start watching 18+ content online unless your network is shielded from explicit content. You can enable it on google on her tablet or whatever she uses. Jus' sayin' Sent from my SM-A105FN using Tapatalk

Roblox is a dumb game IMO but I played that game where the guy has the hammer, knocks you out and puts you in a vault and you have to hack all the computers and hide. Was fun.

Yeah I've never loved the classic sonic game. Mario is alright. I got Sonic the Hedgehog on my phone once, just to play it at work. The first part of the game was decent and easy enough, but then the second part was a complete shitfest. It was too difficult. It ruined the game for me. I just uninstalled it and continued playing Plants Vs. Zombies like prior. That game was good. As a kid I loved sonic though. Especially 'Sonic and the Black Knight'. Which was funny enough as later when I grew older I realised that that game scored horribly on metacritic and IGN. Got like 32/100 or [equivalently] 1 and a half stars (out of 5). Nowadays - for consoles, I only really play elder/elden ring and the odd platformer. Sent from my SM-A105FN using Tapatalk

I rarely have time to play video games now but if I have to choose, it would be transformers.
