An 18lb Staffbull vs 3000lb arcotherium would surprise the everliving shit out of you and shut you up real quick.

Seeing the bear exhausted with its ear a dangling piece of flesh after it took 2 minutes to kill the dog would be quite a shocker. Easy for that bear? Now x the dog's weight by 4 and divide the bear's weight by 10. What do you think happens?

A staffy can jump like, what, up to 3.5ft? Yeah... don't think so. Besides the bear might be on it's hind legs... which is like, over 12ft tall. And the Arcotherium's closest living relative is the Andean bear, which is a really shit bear actually, only slightly surpassing the Giant Panda. While the Sloth bear is a monster, and doesn't take shit from anyone. Now, female Sloth bears have survived being mauled by male Bengal (Bengal) tigers. Some assaults lasting for over 5 mins, oh and the tiger doesn't get away unharmed in case you were wondering.

I rate bears as dexterous boars and I think we should all adopt that mindset to most bears. An SBT can hop a 6ft fence and if the bear is on all 4s it has to stick its head out there, literally.

I posted two cases with photos of Black Bears trying to eat pitbulls, and there is a video where a hiker talks about a pitbull trying to 'protect' her one by charging and getting chewed up. What is weird is that Black Bears usually flee from bold dogs, yet are ready to kill off a pitbull. It is like they realize a pitbull is a demonic entitity that needs to be stopped from wreaking havoc in a local city. In a way they can kill off true evil while getting some food.

I think the reason why pitbulls seem to more of a victim to Back bear attacks is because pits just leap open-arms right into them, instead of just running away or barking at them from a safe-ish distance, thus they get fucked up pretty badly and quickly. And also the bear might be slower than the dog, so once the mutt nips at its ass, the bear turns around and rips open its jugular and/or re-shapes the dog's face.

It works out pretty well, show me a bear killing a pitbull. Dumb pet pitbulls are still good enough to outfight a black bear.

The owners step in and chase or fight of the Black Bear from killing their pibbles. Dogs are poor fighters that require human help and/or aid from other dogs.
