Is the ''rear up and crush'' move for sauropods is actually possible? Combined with the tail I think it's make them either equal or slightly better. The whale is going to be bigger than the sauropods, it just is. Just because it lives in the water.

I prefer whales to sauropods personally, and I think the former has a much higher threshold for growth simply because they live in water, where there's less 'fighting gravity'. I think sauropods were superior in combat against predators- weight is a more potent weapon on land than on water.

I don't really understand how they can be compared. I guess as difficult prey? But then I'd probably say they are pretty equal I guess?
Just the personal taste angle I'd have to say I prefer whales, I struggle to even imagine a sauropod in real life and for me that diminishes my interest. It's too alien/foreign. I'm not much of a dino guy and when I was (as a child) I never cared for sauropods, never had a "sauropod phase".

The blue whale easily. It has a much thicker neck and a much stronger tail.

It is because it isn't a t-rex?

It is because it isn't a t-rex? It's one dimensional, slow and sluggish. It is dumb and eats leaves. It doesn't even fight tooth and claw, its playing card is big. It's still cool-ish but definitely not compared to most other dinosaurs.

But now tbh I just don't like dinosaurs really at all. I much prefer Permian Therapsids

Not Argentinosaurus though. So fair enough I guess.

I can find species I like among EVERY other group, but I just really hate dinosaurs and their big womanly hips. I just hate.. all of them.

I can think of birds I love, arthropods I love, amphibians I love, reptiles.... Dinosaurs just uniquely leave me cold
