Height: 22-26 inches Weight: 40-70 pounds Country of origin: Belgium Type: Herding The Belgian Malinois is a type of shepherd. These dogs originated from Belgium where they were used for herding. These dogs will usually have a medium length coat that can come in tan with a black mask, rust with a black mask, sable with a black mask, reddish with a black mask (sometimes these colors will have a white patch on their chest) and sometimes full black. Nowadays you will see Malinois herding, police work, protection work, agility, detection work and more. These dogs are extremely high energy and are a very bad choice for people who can not provide the proper physical and mental stimulation Height: 22-26'' Weight: 75-110lbs Country of Origin: Germany Family: Herder Type: Continental The German Shepherd is a herder that acted as a ''living fence'' along with predator control (In Africa a GSD would stalk jackals in the grass and kill them instantly. It just got a knack for killing jackals) and putting meat on the table. Its current usage is police/military/personal protection work along with being one of the most common farm dogs due to their ability to guard the farm/homestead along with them being a very versatile dog that can do a variety of tasks and interact safely with wild card animals like porcupines, skunks, turtles and snakes. They're smart, crafty and have good judgement.

GSD may or may not win off of size, P4P the Malinois absolutely shreds any GSD.

Not to use random show GSDs as fill ins for topline Czech GSDs, but... my.mail.ru/mail/lee.bee/video/_myvideo/670.html my.mail.ru/mail/dallas_smith-1922/video/11/40.html?related_deep=1 The Czech GSD better bring in some heat or it's getting fucked.

At average weights the GSD wins, but the mal is not a easy opponent even if the GSD is bigger

I did for a while too but then learned otherwise. They can weigh as little as 35lbs. I was shocked to hear that information. Most are around 60-70lbs though. I think on average the Belgian's hint of bull blood (I've observed a very gripper-esque fighting style in Belgians) would give it a definitive advantage despite the disadvantage in weight. A 100lb GSD and 70lb Mal, things begin to maybe change.

Mals are small, and in person if they're relaxed or just hanging at the dog park or whatever, they're quite underwhelming. No different in presence and vibe to a kelpie or something like that. They are trained to do amazing things and have the high drives to facilitate that, but I think in a basic animalistic fight that stuff won't necessarily factor in and the gsd will win just via size if nothing else.

Why do police use Belgian Malinois anyways? I refuse to believe a 70 lb BM is stopping a fit 175 lb man.
