I played ARK today for the first time in a long time, perhaps 6-12 months. I was doing really well until I ventured onto some little mountain plain. It was mostly herbivores but there were also raptors but far from me and I climbed up on a rock. I lit a torch in my hand for the night but could only really see the rock I was on and nothing else. 3 raptors jumped me and killed me. I went in creative, grabbed my admin rifle and mowed them down but because it felt like cheating I didn't continue.
