''A single standard size Airedale should be able to quickly kill a coyote, to my way of thinking. A hard den terrier can kill a fox his own weight, and though a coyote is purportedly tougher than a fox per pound, a standard size Airedale is still twice the weight of a standard size western coyote. I am coming from a den terrier background, and might be expecting a lot, but these are Airedales, dammit!'' workingairedale.proboards.com/thread/1416/coyote-catching''My grandfather told me of how they would corse coyotes with greyhounds in the 30s and 40s. The greyhounds were great at wearing out the coyote, but not good at capturing and killing the coyote. He said that the best kill dog he saw was an Airedale. Fast enough to keep close, and big an tough enough to not hesitate and run past the greyhounds to grab the coyote and either hold it or kill it.'' www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/printthread/Board/21/main/1065538/type/thread''In my experience an Airedale one on one will terminate a coyote.'' www.workingdogforum.com/threads/coyote-protection.28290/''Many years ago back in the UK my 14yr old whippet cleared two eight foot fences to mate with a airdale dog.The pups from this litter were deadly. The best of the litter killed 100 foxes her first season and went on to become a notorious deer killer.'' www.workingdogforum.com/threads/airedale-staghound-cross.1952/

I really want more instances of an Airedale cross or similar killing a deer in light of this... thing- ''As of now, you've posted nothing impressive regarding the airedale. An airedale cannot take down a buck like a coyote can, that's for sure, they need human assistance and pack assistance to take down sizable animals.''

Sounds like an interesting study, analysing the capacity of different types of dogs to succeed hunting in the wild. I wish more were done around the world.

Stupid Carnivora. Woohoo you're here, I saw your Dogal video you posted that Taipan cried about, the one where they drag a cougar out of a tree. Absolute moron, I got banned on ''Catbulldog'' because I posted sighthounds with a deer kill FFS. So much worse has been posted.

Yes it was somehow animal cruelty…. but anyway I pretty much concluded that thread showing an actual real life example. But instead of being applauded for finding evidence I get shit on.

Yes, if you show evidence you get punished. You just have to wring your hands and make a paragraph of logic and reason, even though the paragraph can just be a hunting video.

No no... you must post evidence to back up your claim! *posts evidence* *banned* It only works this way with dogs too. You can post a video of a hyena eating a baby buffalo alive starting at the asshole, and that's cool apparently. Dog cleanly lugging an ungulate by the cheek is animal cruelty.

Well dogs are not native to Africa. If you are wondering how this is relevant at all, its because of different countries being posted. I have seen videos of dogs in North America on Carnivora hunting hogs and raccoons and even highway deer and those are allowed. Anytime it comes to Africa though its mostly banned. Africa has not adapted to wolves in their environment, that includes dogs. Village dogs mostly survive well for this reason as its just an alien creature to other predators and they don’t know its intentions. A dog hunting a Impala in Africa is invasive because Impalas have not evolved at all to learn to evade dogs. A dog hunting a raccoon in North America though is not invasive; because large canids like wolves and coyotes are a huge, huge part of biodiversity and the environment. Plus, Carnivora only wants brief short excerpts from sources about non-human animal fight match ups. Any actual photo of a carnivore of any type fighting another carnivore is going to be ridiculed and banned. I think its stupid but this is my hypothesis.

You're definitely overthinking it, and somehow underthinking simultaneously.
African golden wolves? Ethiopian wolves? Jackals? African wild dogs? Why would african prey animals be confused by dogs?
Even "Africanis" is basically africa's dingo. "Native" or not... africa is flooded with wild dogs. BTW most of the animals on africa aren't native, strictly speaking. Most are invasive from Eurasia.
