A chimpanzee troop killed a gorilla once iirc.

I favour the chimpanzee. If he still has a banana on him then I'm sure he could throw the peel at the feet of the leopard and make him slip - sending the cat flying off the edge of a hill.

The leopard wins. I think cats in general are a stylistic problem for primates and in a p4p context the leopard is even more of a problem than most cats. Stylistically cats present a larger problem to primates than canids do.
And while I might favour the likes of a good 110 lb working dogo to beat a 110 lb leopard, I'd expect the leopard to be better suited to taking the chimp than the dogo is.
The dogo would still win against the chimp but the leopard would do so more quickly and easier and without as much risk. Although not likely, the dogo could potentially lose to an unsually experienced and skillful chimp, while the leopard basically never would.

While they don't seem to be a regular prey item, large leopards have been known to attempt predation on silverbacks. Out of the couple of accounts I've heard of those skirmishes ended in stalemate. Has anyone heard of the historical account of the captive 185 lb melanistic leopard that got into the enclosure of a 310 lb silverback to assail it? What I remember of the newspaper article is that there was an audience of people observing the hours-long assault. The audience watched the leopard assault the gorilla until eventually the leopard took the gorila's hand off, at which point they decided to put a stop to it. Bolushi you know something of this account.
