Interesting matchup, I think these animals are around the same size, so I could see the Gigantopithecus grappling and subduing the Zebra, but it's hard for me to envision it actually landing a killing blow. Their closest relatives are orangutans, who don't really seem built for fighting at all, even compared to its relatives like chimps or gorillas. Furthermore, there's evidence they didn't really use their canines in conflict.

Gigantopithecus exhibits a relatively high degree of sexual dimorphism, implying a high level of male-male competition, but the relatively small canines in both sexes suggest that these teeth were not important in agonistic behaviors.
