I would like to know your guy’s experience with this, did a woman ever like you because you were tall or like someone over you because they were tall?

I was never insecure about my height, which is 5'10", because when I was young it actually wasn't common knowledge that "tall is everything" the way it is now. The odd girl would say they don't like short guys maybe but short meant like really short, and even some really short guys did well at my high school. I actually thought my height was optimal and taller guys were kind of goofy, the taller guys I knew seemed to struggle with babes. But yeah something has changed in the last 15 years or so where girls have become more and more focussed on height, and it's like this escalating issue feeding on itself where more and more it's their top consideration. It's become like a status they strive for, to be with a "6 something" guy.
I do remember one exception from high school, there was this average sized guy, maybe 5'9" or even 5'8", who no one paid much attention to and over one christmas holiday (summer and christmas holidays are kind of one here) he just shot up to like 6'2", and suddenly he became "a hot guy", or even "THE hot guy" at the school. I was really confused and couldn't even wrap my head around it being the height. Because I knew guys who were taller and got no attention, but in hindsight I think they were unusually ugly and this guy wasn't. I didn't used to understand that girls could be really fickle and change their minds, and I was just like "but you chicks didn't used to like him, this isn't allowed, his level was at this point and that's where it needs to stay forever, whats going on". I guess height appreciation was there but no one talked about it and you were just blissfully unaware. I think being unaware made short guys confident and they were legitimately crushing a lot of ass because they had no idea their shortness was a problem and that charisma was still good enough to impress chicks. Also girls who liked short guys were unaware that they weren't supposed to. Now they need to fit in and like tall guys.
I would have been horrified being a teenager now and being under 6 feet (even if it's only just) and knowing it was not ideal. It would have stressed me out and made me lack confidence. But yeah I always waltzed around assuming 5'10" was absolute perfect height and no one ever corrected me.

I’ve never had problems with height because I’m 6’3-4 but I also hate the idea of short guys not being ideal and that should not be the only thing girls look for

I actually don't mind. I like taunting short guys who complain about girls not liking them. I like the idea of guys not getting laid. Do you think a lion wants other lions to get laid? No, it infuriates him, and I'm the same. I would rather crush the balls of my rivals than see them get laid. Lucky for you guys you aren't my rivals, so your balls may remain intact.

5'10" here.
Some women (particularly the likes of today's conspicuous tinder skanks) care first about a man's height, but even today I don't think most normal women (most of which you won't hear opinion on the matter) do unless we're talking proper short. Although it's still far from over for real short guys.
I'd consider the predominant trait for snagging women the ability to project genuine amorous feelings towards them so that a real emotionally romantic connection is made. If that emotional/psychological equipment is lacking it doesn't matter how tall/short a man is.
I doubt pretty normal height in men is a problem for most women, just some. There's a general trait of women being attracted to the tallness of men, although as I said, it's not the first or predominant attraction for most normal women. Just some.
Anyway if you want to look taller don't be tubby. As a lean 150 lb guy I looked 6'0". As a 220 kg Michelin Man I looked 5'8". Currently 175 and aiming for 150 once again so I can lie about being 6'0". Lincoln you could be fat and still look tall so this doesn't apply to you.
The average woman is 5"4" and I think most of those would prefer 5'10" than 6'4". 5"10" is still really tall for average women, they still get "tall" without freakishly tall. But the great thing about being a tall man is you're in a better position to get tall women.

I'm an old guy, I'm 71. But in my time and in my prime I was quite the ladies man. I had more than my share...the girls liked me a lot. Now get this.....I am only 5'8".
By the way...you can go ahead and laugh if you want but...the old girls down at the grocery store STILL give me the eye. lol
