Didn't you say feral cattle wasn't much of a thing where you lived? Those aren't feral. Just someone's cattle. Otherwise I would have been dogging one and filling my freezer for 6 months lol.

Good, I was very disappointed in my father as I thought those were feral cattle and was about to kidnap you and make you write 1,000 apology letters to escape. Have you ever did a catch/clean/cook?

I have helped with slaughtering and butchering cattle, but no there aren't many wild animals I want to eat and even less so after the dogs have had their way with them. Ofcourse fish yes, and other marine life, many times. Bagging a deer would change that.

If you look closely you can see a grey heron fishing. I wanted to get photos of Eurasian otters but I couldn't find any romps. Apparently they have killed herons.

Damn Australia's habitat is soooo different from the UK's. I think I like the UK's more. Although I am biased.

Well it gets much worse than that in Australia, better as well though in some areas.
Keep in mind those photos are in "winter". Around 27 celcius or 80 farenheit. I'd argue that winter here is actually kind of nice (if a little dry), summer is hell though.

Not bad, what is that?
I might try and go fishing in the coming days, you've inspired me.

Bass are good. Bass are legit. Bass, trout, cod, perch... maybe some others, but basically there is a short list of legitimate fish for anglers.

I went out to a national park today to try and find red deer and golden eagles, but all I found was... nothing. Very sad.

I went out to a national park today to try and find red deer and golden eagles, but all I found was... nothing. Very sad. Lol that is pretty standard, it's not easy. Finding "sign" should be seen as a win. Deer droppings, hoof prints, rub marks on trees, flattened "bedding" spots, etc, that stuff gets me very excited. Eagles are just a bonus, although with enough visits to the same locations you CAN begin to understand where specific individual eagles live.
