I’m giving a slight edge to the sharks. I think together, they could outmaneuver, overwhelm, and tire out the whale while causing blood loss with their serrated teeth. They need to stay away from its jaws and tail though and also be wary of getting rammed.

The Livyatan in the top picture is about to die, but yeah I think both sharks are killed as long as Livyatan doesn't end up there.

Based off of Hardcastle’s logic the shark’s should be able to get some easy bites in on the much slower and less manoeuvrable whale. (I agree with his statements, I’m not insulting him). It should also be noted that Livyatan probably wasn’t as smart as modern whales, just like how Brygmophyseter wouldn’t be as smart as modern orcas - this may be the reason why Brygmophyseter went extinct - outcompeted by the more intelligent and better adapted pack hunter. Although this is only a theory.

Maybe that's most likely.

Sounds like an Alano vs Black bear Can you post one example of a black bear killing anything (literally anything) quickly? Bears maul animals, they don’t go for the throat so it usually takes longer for them to kill animals. Only in this case the Bear is almost eight times the dog’s weight. Black bear also usually don’t hunt animals anyways.
