If they're the same size my money in on the dog because the Plotthound in particular has been said to be the roughest scenthound. If the Eurasian Lynx is a bit larger, perhaps it should be favored.
This could be a case of the dog circling around the cat for eternity until eventually the cat runs out of stamina and the dog starts getting bold and inflicting bigger, harder bites until the cat is too weak to retaliate and gets mauled to death.
