I don't hate you. This is is my favourite animal battle, so I'm actually eager to contribute. I'm not "shocked and appalled" that they agree with most of what you say. I dunno, you seem kind of shocked and appalled, but tbh I don't blame you because when he says things that are true they sound crazy. Then I say the same thing and it's like "oh yeah... Well when you put it like that..." I have 20 years more experience saying these crazy things, so... Yeah. I guess that makes sense. Generally speaking it actually would be stupid to believe what some kid like tristan/bolushi says, so you were right to dismiss him, but it's the weirdest thing... he IS right about dog things most of the time. You can still insult him here too if you like, you can insult me too. We won't moderate you for it. |

For sure. What I mean is you need to feel comfortable to say what you think. And if you think I say something wrong or dumb you should say so (ditto for Bolushi, ESPECIALLY for Bolushi). You never know, things might get "heated", wouldn't worry about it.
FWIW I have added a link to the board on my Quora profile. Probably won't attract anyone but who knows. Everyone feel free to invite anyone and everyone. I've lost touch with all my old friends/rivals from animal boards unfortunately.

The votes are 2 and 2... interesting. It's a shame there's no bear/lion overlap anywhere, according to these-   Means we pretty much have to go by tiger. I frankly have not been impressed by tigers and their interactions with sloth bears. Yes they prey on them, but they have a hell of a time and often get thwarted by sloth bears much smaller than themselves. I'm racking my brain to try and recall siberian tiger/brown bear interactions I have heard about?? Does anyone have anything? |

Also there were 44 recorded fights. 22 tiger wins, 12 bear wins, 10 draws. |

Obvious answer is no for the tiger wins, yes for bear wins, or it won after being ambushed...

I’m liking the grizzly bear’s chances here, it has thick fur for durability. The bear can probably resist the lion’s jaws and claws for a while.

Yeah, a lion can definitely damage the bear, but the bear is resistant to clawing and puncture wounds considerably more than the lion is. However, the lion will never ever give up and it's going to have more experience than the bear. It would be pretty long, but neither can kill the other quickly. Yes, the lion can do less damage than the bear, but it's also more agile and the bear still has comparable damage output with its sloppy fighting style. I'd favor a grizzly with a bit of a size advantage, but at parity I favor the lion. |
