I think all actually have a chance to at least control and make the spotted hyena look kinda foolish for a while. Those percentages would be- Sarplaninac (I think one of the more naturally combative LGDs, but small) - 65% Cane Corso - 90% Tornjak - 60% Tibetan mastiff - 50% Kangal - 80% Tosa - 93% BK - 92% Dogo argentino - 93%
To kill? Eh... Sarplaninac - 15% Cane Corso - 47% Tornjak - 12% Tibetan mastiff - 15% Kangal - 52% Tosa - 50% BK - 54% Dogo argentino -51%
Striped hyena (control) Sarplaninac - 75% Cane Corso - 98% Tornjak - 70% Tibetan mastiff - 65% Kangal - 90% Tosa - 99% BK - 98% Dogo argentino - 98%
Striped hyena (kill) Sarplaninac - 60% Cane Corso - 87% Tornjak - 50% Tibetan mastiff - 50% Kangal - 90% Tosa - 89% BK - 93% Dogo argentino -92%

That seems very exaggerated, doesn't it?

Controlling spotted hyenas seems to be incredibly easy. Their mobility ALWAYS looks like dogshit to me and they don't even seem to mind getting beaten up. Like they do basically nothing to resist it other than wait it out. I would be quite confident to let a fit gripping dog I valued go and lug a hyena without being too worried about it. I might be wrong, but that is my perception.
I would be WAY more scared of a leopard, EVEN THOUGH I actually favour spotted hyena over leopard.
I think my kill values are actually more dubious.

Controlling spotted hyenas seems to be incredibly easy. This Leopard disagrees I added to my post. Leopards absolutely suck at hyenas for sure.
