Tigress beats 4 quite easily based on that account of an Amazonian Jaguar killing 4 Pitbulls. I believe it also beats 6, but with difficulty.

If 3 pitbulls can control one of the tiger's limbs and 3 can control the other, they can probably subdue the cat if it's small enough, but also maybe not. I'd tend to favor the tiger.
