This lady and practically all the commenters don't understand a simple reality; If a dog is barking at something and refraining from attacking, it simply means it is scared to engage. If it had more confidence, it would instantly kill the coyote, but the uploader and commenters all have these dumb ideas about how great the dog is and how smart it is and etc. They don't know wtf they are talking about. Some are even calling it brave, lol.

If they sucked they wouldn't have been the favorite dog of the French aristocracy in the 18th century. people.com/pets/great-pyrenees-named-casper-attacks-coyote-pack-to-protect-sheep/

And a ton of other pet Pyrenees, even some working LGDs will likely bark at a coyote. That's not a pure Pyrenees, but I have seen pure Pyrenees kill coyotes, if the dog is tough enough mentally yes it can extremely easily kill a coyote on account of being 100lbs bigger with massive crushing jaws. I don't doubt a tough enough Pyrenees could hunt down and kill 8 coyotes. The question mark is how it managed to catch them all, are they dumb? Also a pack of 11 coyotes would be very rare, maybe a very large litter of pups following their parents? That's what it usually is.

Alternatively it could be a pup, who just had the mental strength to kill a coyote, and the fact it was a pup and agile allowed it to run them down? Then it was also young and dumb so it just followed them and wanted them all dead.

Yeah I just meant THAT individual dog sucks. "Casper" clearly didn't suck. Though I do also agree he doesn't look pure. I'm sure pyrs can be fine, but they do have a tendency to often be scared to fight. It was kind of intentionally bred into them. In a way Casper is a "dud" of a pyr for going so hard in the paint, Lol.
