Pitbulls crush each other's bones, much more powerful dogs than borzois, and obliterate dogs that would kill a borzoi every day. This is not close. A borzoi cannot hurt a pitbull. The bite force of a Borzoi is twice as strong as that of a Pitbull. Not even close. The jaw comparison between a pit and borzoi is like comparing a gharial and alligator's jaws. Not to mention biteforce means nothing at all. |

Also don't you guys love arguing that the power of canine jaws is determined by height, not by weight, explaining how Wolves have such huge skulls for their weight? Well. Borzois are 26-28 inches, a Pitbull is 18-21 inches tall. So by your own logic a Borzoi should have a substantially more powerful skull.

Relevant skull characteristics would be - Sagittal crest and zygomatic arch and mandible depth and condyle width and etc (not to mention general width and depth of the whole skull)... the Borzoi doesn't have "smaller" or "lesser" versions of these features, it simply... doesn't have them... lol. Wtf. Its worse than I thought.

There was of course a time when they weren't a joke, I have seen vintage art and even old 1800s photos. Nothing is supposed to be as utterly pathetic as borzois are, but the reality is borzois that exist today have skulls like this one^ Those are the ones I have encountered. If there are rustic working populations in russia somewhere, fair play. I don't know about them. The "breed" is totally fucked. |

Aren't Borzois supposed to be very stupid dog breeds? I dunno. I mean Pitbulls are hardly the Stephen Hawkings of the dog world either. There are levels. Borzois, salukis, afghans... the kind of stupid they are makes people pull their hair out. Pitbulls are a more endearing "dopey" kind of thing. They are like some positive "himbo" type where you smile and roll your eyes at how simple minded they are like Bill and Ted's excellent adventure all "whoa... no way" and its fun and you know they mean well and are trying their best.  Borzois and salukis are more infuriatingly stupid and ignorant and oblivious. Its not fun, and not cute, they are just totally unaware of what you would prefer and have no consideration for your feelings or ideas and just insanely do everything to piss you off and when you express to them you are pissed off they still have no idea. |

I stopped begin serious and started joking when i heard Dale say that a Pitbull would beat 20 Borzois, i knew there was no consensus achievable from there, and that nobody is going to get convinced anyway so i started trolling and saying things like "Borzoi = Smaller Irish Wolfhound/Galgo Patagonico", "Borzoi has a bite twice as strong as Pitbull", ect. It's a Borzoi skull on the left and Pug skull on the right. I said the Pug skull was an APBT skull as a joke. |
