I personally don’t get the point in getting a dog or any pet just because it looks cute, cool, etc. are you just getting it to stare at it? Usually when a dog is too good looking it’s usually too good to be true, like if it is super good looking then it probably has some sort of issue because it was probably bred for looks. Just my experience. id rather have an average looking dog that can work then a super good looking dog with issues Because cute dogs are better. They're supposed to be our companions. You're probably going to love a dog more if it's cute and cuddly. Petting dogs is also very calming (as it released dopamine but who cares), petting cute dogs is nicer. More relaxing. |

Pitbull owners won't give an honest answer as to why they have one. People like this simply cannot be honest with themselves. If they were, their entire world would come crashing down on them. A clear understanding of their own motivations would be ego-shattering. He'll give you any answer except the real one. Same with people who buy motorbikes with loud exhausts and rev them up. They will not be able to provide you with a real answer as to why they do it, unless they have grown older/wiser and finally realise that it was just pure ego and stupidity - a more primitive consciousness.
The demographic of the average pitbull owner is as follows: low-class male with tattoos who are sorely lacking in intellect and refinement, so the only prowess they can understand or appreciate is physicality. It's obvious why these people are buying it. They have a primitive affinity for physical strength and imposition.

I actually don't mind a collie, because it can run 80 kms a day and jump fences at speed and change directions with extreme agility and etc. Cool. Give me something. A golden retriever is nothing. Pitbulls are not my favourite but- That's pretty cool.  So is that. Humanity spent centuries breeding dogs which are friendly companions. Pitbulls, on the other hand, are basically the reintroduction of predators into human life. It's unacceptable, and violates our fundamental expectations of society - that it be safe for everyone, esp. children. I already posted why i prefer Golden Retrievers and similar Dogs. |

At the very least, i support banning Pitbull ownership for those clearly not responsible enough (ie Pitmommies) In stark contrast to Pitmommies, Dogo owners (for example, Akita owners and really almost all owners of big, powerful and potentially dangerous breeds) are usually insanely responsible. shock collar, pinch collar, protection training, and they forbid it from being offleash in public spaces.
