Rules:
- To make it fair for the Pitbulls, Area 51 is on their own, they can't call for reinforcements, resupply or backup. - Fight to the death. For the Pitbulls to win they need to kill every single personnel. For Area 51 to win all Pitbulls need to die - To make it fair for Area 51, each round "only" lasts for a week. That way the Pitbulls can't simply wait for Area 51 to run out of supplies and starve since the supplies Area 51 already has are almost surely enough to sustain it for a week. If either side fails to exterminate the other within that week, it's considered a tie. - Days can do without a fight. The Pitbull horde is allowed to scavenge the surrounding areas of the Nellis Air force complex (area: 4687 square kilometers) for food and water, but can't exit it, they can also hunt both animals and peoole within that area for food - The Pitbulls can't eat or fight each other. - To make it fair for the Pitbull horde, area 51 can't use it's planes or helicopters, therefore they wouldn't be able to bomb them into oblivion
Round 1: The 450.000 Pitbulls are all just normal Pitbulls who all share the same goal of mauling the Area 51 soldiers. Round 2: The 450.000-strong Pitbull horde is controlled by a highly intelligent and hyper-coordinated hivemind
Who do you think would win in each round?

How many personnel are working at area 51? Are they aware the pitbulls are coming or caught by surprise?

How many personnel are working at area 51? Are they aware the pitbulls are coming or caught by surprise? Both sides are aware of each other. Area 51 is a top secret base so of course we don't get personnel numbers, but by dividing the number of US land soldiers in Active Service (452.689), adding it up to Air Force (320.037) and dividing by the number of bases US operates on their own territory (450 roughly) we get 1.717

711 if we only count the Air Force. Looks pretty bad for them until you factor a M4 Carbine, the most used weapon by the US Military has a firing rate of 700 to 970 rounds per minute.

*correction, US Air Force has 320.037 personnel, and 59 installations, giving us an average of 5.424 personnel per base
Might have to increase the number of Pitbulls

Assuming the average Soldier carries 210 bullets for their M4s, and assuming each ot the 5.424 soldiers has an M4, they have 1.139.040 bullets
Yeah, that's a lot. I should increase the number of Pitbulls to 500.000 or something

Changed it to 450.000, since that's 10% of the US Pitbull population. According to the Breed Survey of 2019.

Assuming we are talking about average infantry man with M4 like weapon the statistics are between 25 and 35 percent of the rounds hit their target. Projection sights (red dot style) improves the statistics only by 15–20 percent.
Pitbulls are smaller, and therefore harder to hit than humans, so expect a further decreased rate.
