Somewhat related but Red Dead Redemption 2's depiction of this is quite bad
So you have "Panthers" which are quite obviously Jaguars, spotted skin, more robust-looking legs and body compared to Pumas, different anatomy face, ect, "Pumas" (self-explatory) and "Florida Panthers" which can be found in Lemoyne, a region to the east of the Map based on real-life Louisiana. Homever instead of Florida Panthers being a Puma sub-species as in reality, they are a Jaguar sub-species that is a "Panther" (Jaguar) with a different colour palette in the spots and can roar, lol

I need to pick myself back up off my feet. I wish I could give myself unlimited bullets and just roam around nature shooting shit. Only way I get bullets is by ripping people off their horses at trails and killing them. I spent many minutes chasing down a deer with a knife and stabbing it to death when I caught it lacking in water. That's my hunting method for that game, which usually fails, lol.

For infinite ammo cheat you need to progress on the story a bit homever (to chapter 2), and get Hanover 27 or Saint Denis 43 newspapers.

RDR2 is a good game overall but it's barely a "Wild West" game. In the Northern parts of the Maps which are very clearly based on Pacific Northwest/Rockies you can hunt Timber Wolves and Grizzlies, very cool indeed, but not Wild West lol Doesn't help that you can only unlock acess to the actual "Wild West" regions (New Austin which is like Rexas and West Elizabeth which is like Colorado) until after you complete the entire story.

The hands down worst feature in the entire game is the despawning mechanics. It's a fucking hunting game, let me hunt down and track things. Don't make them despawn if I can't see them. I've lost a few bucks like that, they disappear down a hill and then despawn. What the fuck even is that?

If you have a good PC/console i recommend you a Game called "the Hunter Call of the Wild" for a good hunting Game, you even have to be careful about making noise, standing up or smelling strongly when close to an animal. Once in a while it gets on sale for just 7 dollars. You start with 2 Maps you get with the base game (one is based on Cascadia, the other one is in Germany) and if you like it you can get more Maps.
