I think the wolf would just chomp the pitbull's head and kill it. Size difference is too much and the wolf is not a big LGD who doesn't really know how to kill the pitbull quickly. Some do and it has happened but usually not. A guy on an old forum arranged a fight between a really good game dog and a wolf, everyone told him ''don't do it!'' and he had a dead dog. If the pitbull managed to grab the wolf by the face it would overpower the wolf and win but I see the wolf ''catching'' the pitbull most of the time.
Though I could be wrong. I'd favor a pitbull x greyhound cross for the extra height but very apprehensive sending a 55lb APBT to fight a 120lb wolf that is 12'' taller and 20'' longer.

I honestly think the A.P.B.T will just rush the wolf and latch on to its face, yes the wolf can win in the way Bolushi said but all that will be useless when the A.P.B.T gets a bite on the face. If the wolf is unable to win quickly then it’s in trouble

The pitbull will need to jump up pretty high and gain a good hold. It will indeed be useless... but not in the first 10 seconds, if that. If the pitbull does gain control though it's lights out, White Fang all over again. Wrestler beats KO artist, but when the KO artist is 1.5x taller than the wrestler it's kind of worrying. I could be persuaded either way, the pitbull is a much better fighter but the wolf has shown a lot of success against dogs. Its quick snap is worrying for any gripping dog matchup but especially a little pitbull.
