What kind of weights are we talking about with the absolute max crocs?

What kind of weights are we talking about with the absolute max crocs? Large individuals can exceed 1000kg. Maybe up to 1500kg, or perhaps (perhaps) 2000kg for the largest. Btw have you ever seen a saltie? And tbh I'm quite surprised that you're not really into salties, since they are your largest (and by far strongest) semi-land predator.

I like crocodiles, but for some reason actually prefer Nile Crocodiles to salties.
I've seen salties at the zoo. Never in the wild. I don't go to the top end, I hate too much heat and humidity.
Historically they lived in my river, but they don't range this far south anymore.

What sizes are we talking about here? If the Crocodile is close to the Hippo in size, then I think it would win since its armor is probably too strong for the Hippo's blunt teeth, while it could damage the Hippo with its sharp teeth and powerful bite.

However, I did see the latter in Costa Rica.

I hate too much heat and humidity. I wonder if that’s specific to white people.

What kind of weights are we talking about with the absolute max crocs? Adult males typically range from 4.3 to 5 m in length and weigh 408 to 770 kg. With large 6+ m individuals exceeding 1,000 kg.

Then we still shold probably lean towards a 3000 kg hippo, right? I'm guessing you don't believe in the 8+ metre crocs? Like the Normanton Croc "Krys"?

Since I didn't clarify the size of the hippo cow I guess I just assumptionally meant an average individual (1300 kg), which is what we're using. I said a "large bull", not the "largest bull".

Let’s analyse the two combatants, shall we? The hippopotamus has larger teeth and a wider gape as well as stamina. But the crocodile has more powerful jaws, armour, greater killing experience, and better swimming & maneuverability. For those reasons, I favour the latter.
