On land and at similar weight, I think the Kodiak Bear would outmaneuver the Nile Crocodile, go onto its back, and maul it to death.

On land and at similar weight, I think the Kodiak Bear would outmaneuver the Nile Crocodile, go onto its back, and maul it to death. This would be quite the difficult task. There's a video on Reddit of a pride of lions attacking a Nile crocodile. The male lion had the croc' by the back of the neck and the other lions were clawing and biting at the reptile, yet, after 10 minutes, the lions gave up and let the crocodile rush back into the water. It's crazy how it survived for so long, and came out with no life-threatening injuries. I'm not even sure if the reptile's skin was penetrated. I'll look for the video. |

Lizards aren't great fighters, I believe the bear will win on land after a very long time. Of course, it's fucked in water.
I voted crocodile at first out of bias.

I don't think the mauling will do much tbh, the crocodile can tank them easily, while... the crocodile's jaws could seriously harm the bear (if not kill it). And I'm not doing Saltwater crocodile vs Kodiak bear, because the saltie definitely wins on land and in water (not that anyone asked). |
