Yeah it's crazy. Rogan himself is obsessed with animals but never ceases to amaze me with how little he knows, and then it doesn't get much better with his hunter friends (Steve Rinella would be the exception), his intellectual friends also don't seem to know shit about animals, and as I've said before even his resident animal expert- Forrest Gallante, doesn't know shit about animals. Our dumbest ever guy, Hammerhead, could literally sit in the room and make about 8 animal fact corrections per episode, it's crazy. I’ve pointed out that many elk hunters act like its a fucking crime when a predator gets to an elk beforehand. I saw a video of a mountain lion taking down an injured cow elk and the comments were like “shoot that cat and save the elk” and I thought these were from furmommies, but in reality these were elk hunters. It seems they are fine with them shooting the elk, but not predators. And if a predator does get their elk they view it similarly to a hate crime. Yeah and Joe Rogan has been indoctrinated into their little club and goes with the shit they say. Lots of hunters do this thing where they try and justify their hunting by vilifying the animals. "oh people think bears are nice like teddy bears, but actually they're really mean so... it's ok to kill them". It's just totally irrelevant, you should never be hunting with anger or hatred for the animal you are hunting anyway, you shouldn't have that mindset where you are killing a "motherfucker" of an animal. How mean or not mean they are shouldn't even come into it. But that is how many hunters kind of pscyhe themselves up to kill and also try and persuade the general public they are doing a good deed. I think it's fucked up, to be like machine gunning piglets and then expect people to think you're a good samaritan as well. Like, fuck off. By all means kill stuff and hunt, but you are doing it for fun, and it's honestly ok, these animals are all dying horribly one way or another anyway, and sooner rather than later. I see no difference in hunting nice animals, mean animals, whatever. I don't see it as an aggressive act, it's just natural and normal to hunt and be hunted.

I believe in the "wolves effect rivers" thing tbh. Recent idiot shit about wolves was on the Joe Rogan experience where he was talking to a really dumb runner/bow hunter, a friends of his named "Cam Hanes". I watched the whole episode, but it might even be in this clip- They really love to subscribe to this idea that wolves are ruthless maniacal killers that kill everything with no restraint and no measured strategy or tactics, and what they are ultimately trying to argue is if you don't shoot wolves they will just eradicate all life on earth. It's SOOOOO dumb beyond belief, and I actually hope to one day confront him face to face about and teach his sorry ghoulie ass about wolves- Joe Rogan is pretty good at owning many of the goofy morons on politics, but the animal knowledge is just all over the place. This can include animal experts, hunters and even Rogan. Have you seen the clip of him getting mad at a primate scientist because she told him the Bili ape wasn’t a new species of chimp? Dumbass told the expert to google it after she said it was fake. He always sounds so confidently incorrect whenever he talks about animals.

He always sounds so confidently incorrect whenever he talks about animals. Not sure if his opinion changed a bit this since he mentions working on Fear Factor at 4:40. So, this podcast is two decades old. I found that it was made somewhere in the 2000s. That being said, some of his non-wildlife interviews are interesting to watch.
