My Yellowstone trip I did a week ago or so. Seen, pronghorn, mule deer, sandhill Crane, Osprey, Elk, Moose, coyote, American Bison, red Fox, American Black Bear, and a grey Wolf. Here’s a grey wolf scouting out a Bison Herd. (No idea why every photo I post is so small)

Awesome. Would be incredible to see in person.
Attachments get posted as kind of smallish thumbnails but we can click on them and blow them up.
It's friggin hard to get photos, I never think to get my phone out. Yesterday I took my dogs into a place where I know there is always roos (and sometimes deer) and I was like "not gonna make the same mistake, have phone and camera on ready for when something gets flushed" and I've got it in my hand but a few minutes pass and I forget, then Winnie flushes like 4 big roos and chases them across a big open field straight past me and I just watch on mesmerised and forget the camera. Note photos of roos aren't shit anyway BUT I really wanted Winnie stretched out after them and yeah the point is I just always fail with getting photos. Fail even worse at getting elusive things like foxes or feral dogs. That's just a pipe dream. Point is I respect how hard it is to get shots like this.

No it was a grey wolf with a summer coat. There was about 20 other wolf watchers there too. Definitely much bigger than a coyote. I could see it MUCH clearer than the pictures I took(taking pictures with the scope is shitty…). I can confirm it was a wolf as did the other wolf watchers. This was a female wolf. I have seen a ton of coyotes before. This is my first wild wolf. Only other times I have seen a wolf was in zoos. But honestly it was something else seeing a real wild wolf.

I got these photos with spotting scope probably at least hundreds of yards away. I have a lot more photos then these, but seeing that wolf was the highlight of the trip for me. It was cool seeing one in person. A wild one.
