Can you source all the obscure japanese spitz breeds easily enough in the US? I'd probably have a hard time here, just shiba and akita probably. I have met some Jindos though too. If I was going to pick one just based on looks it would probably be the Kai Ken, bit of a sucker for brindle. Though I also do like the "tuxedo" of the karelian. Yes, I know people who would on the drop of a hat connect me to their litters or others if I wanted to get a pup. I've met them all the recognized Japanese spitz breeds in person along with the jindo. Personally I prefer brindle jindo over kai ken, bother are great dogs but the head shape of the jindo generally look more "mature" if I had to describe it. I do feel like I have noticed the jindo and shiba and obviously the akita and etc are indeed grittier and rougher than most spitz. I'd say they've all got a history of fighting here and there and being expected to maybe hunt things that are bigger or more dangerous than they should. They are the spitz base but with expectations to be tough placed on them for at least hundreds, maybe thousands, of years. And yes, look kind of cool as well. Your dog could really pass for a dingo in some of those photos. Especially the snake one, just change the snake and that's a dingo, lol. She really had the dingo look right here  Even more so here, she could easily fit in with the actual dingos on the left  |

lycaonShe looks more like a dingo than the dingoes tbh. If you ever come back, could you please let me know if you received "password reset request emails" ?? I have a feeling this is why everyone is leaving, we know who is doing it, it's an ex member, and although its annoying I just want to reassure you it isn't as "dangerous" as it maybe feels (gave me the creeps when I got them too). All they are doing is putting everybody's usernames in the request password reset field, and then you get the annoying email. They can't hurt you beyond that, but I apologise and fully agree it sucks and is annoying and unnerving.
