I checked on my fire ant queen and for some reason all the water evaporated and the queen and her like 20 workers fucking died on me.

Ants are interesting. Eusocial insects in general are. It's so peculiar how each set of ants have their own different rank, like humans, and how at the tippity-top of the ranks there's the 'queen' - how the queen is actually different from the other ants. I also love that the substance that allows for queen bees to live longer is called 'Royal Jelly' lol. |
