I've changed my belief of python skill as it looks like lace monitors tend to defeat close to equal size carpet pythons in an actual fight despite pythons winning in an ambush. If they can get a good bite and shake the python up a bit. If the Greyhound uses its speed to tire out the python much like a mongoose does to a cobra it can win. However if it rushes in there, it will probably get submitted. What's your favourite animal? The problem with dogs is that they can't do much if a comparable sized snake coils around them. The only animals that seem to be able to successfully kill constrictor snakes are pantherines and honey badgers due to their dexterity. |

That limits the options quite a bit, so this is an updated version. The animal can be found in any region. Domestic animals are allowed too Bolushi and Hardcastle . I'll name mine's first to get this thread on the go. - Reticulated python. (I stand a decent chance if I do say so myself). lincoln CoolJohnson Wyatt PumAcinonyx SuperCat My favourite animal is the mountain lion. I think it could beat a reticulated python. |

My favourite animal is no longer a snake. I don't know what it is now. I quite like the Mackenzie Valley wolf and the Eurasian brown bear. If we are talking about land animals, that is.
Wait I also like the Golden eagle, oh, and the Eastern lowland gorilla.
