The Great White Shark barely looks smaller than the Orcas in the second image.

It happened. I don't know how the gws escaped two orcas but it did. Maybe it fought back? That would be my only explanation? Why would the orcas just bite it and leave?

Why would the orcas just bite it and leave? Orcas bite shit and leave all the time, they fuck with things for fun. They have been known to take a baby seal off the beach, take it out to sea and play with it, and then return it unharmed to the beach. You can't predict what they might do, they are like people. What won't happen is a shark " fighting back". Lol.

Doesn't disprove what I said at all. It does. Sent from my SM-A105FN using Tapatalk No it doesn't. My point is there are a whole spectrum of possible actions killer whales can perform, ranging from half-assedly messing with something for fun, to fully committing to desperately trying their hardest to kill something, and everything in between. If the bite on the shark was kind of serious, then it is simply something in between. In no way proof the killer whales could not kill the shark despite best efforts who valiantly fought back, there's no indication whatsoever that was the case. Killer whales are far too complex to draw any conclusions like that. They often don't really try hard, that is my point, it's normal behaviour for them to kind of mess with something and not fully commit to a kill. Happens frequently and it would be wrong and foolish to assume it was a failure. They may have done exactly what they wanted to. Nothing more, nothing less. For the record this applies to wolf attacks too. A wolf attack is not necessarily an attempted kill, and ditto for killer whales.

The scientist said that the killer whales tried to attack the shark from above and then rip out its liver. I'm not believing Mr. Antonio Hardcastle the Online Animal Forum Debater over a professional.
