The bill to wipe out 90% of Idaho’s wolf population has been officially passed. The issue with this is it wasn’t passed by wildlife biologists, it was actually advised against by wildlife biologists. This bill was passed by corrupt politicians and farmers/ranchers. This means the states wildlife is now in the hands of politicians and farmers/ranchers, and not in the hands of wildlife biologists and experts.
Its gonna cost hundreds of thousands of dollars of tax payer money just to fund the eradication of these wolves.
A lot of farmers/ranchers claim wolves have been wiping out elk and other ungulate populations, even mule and white-tailed deer.
Although if you look at statistics, elk were far over-populated. White-tailed deer are even worse as they are overgrown rats at this point, and coyotes can only take fawns and if they do manage to catch an adult one they don’t efficiently kill them and can take days to kill a buck.
Ungulates are healthier than they’ve ever been in that state and they still don’t have a single case of CWD.
It amazes me how farmers/ranchers have such a soft spot for ungulates that they can’t stand if wolves decide to hunt them.
Even the rogue hunters who say “smoke a pack a day” because they wanna hunt the elk and they are upset when anything even does as much as make the elk move pasture.
