It seems to be a clusterfuck for me. Wolves very well can hunt bison, which are a bovid still. Though the issue comes when many times when bison will stand and fight, rather than fleeing and panicking and giving the wolves the opportunity to harvest a bison who fell back from the rest of the herd. Cape buffalo though are very good at standing back and fending off predators, which is why many time lions have trouble with them. I didn’t compare them to African Wild Dogs because wolves don’t have a tight-knit pack structure and its very loose and sloppy. African Wild Dogs are formidable enough to hunt Cape Buffalo. So theres no comparing how tight-knit and pack-dependent African Wild Dogs are. Even if there were a subjugation wolf, or a couple this would still go downhill. Cape Buffalo are actually very smart and it would be hard to grab a hold of a cheek. So i’d say with canids like wolves, even though they are very formidable against prey animals, everything goes downhill with Cape Buffalo. Hardcastle Bolushi CoolJohnson oldgreengrolar Methane colein

Bison may fair better against other bovines in 1v1s, but Buffaloes are far better when it comes to fighting other predators. Also they're fearless and badass as fuck. - not shying away from fighting large aggressors such as fucking rhinos and elephants. If anything, the Buffalo will be the animal to start the fight here.

No extant canine dare go near an adult cape buffalo. Wyatt, I thought you were smart enough to differentiate an antelope from a bovid?

I reckon two good northwestern wolves could pull it off in a natural setting given unlimited time. I find it hard for the buffalo to catch one in an open environment. Cagematch, I might go buffalo
