Do hunters get rabies from animal scratches?

Do they get vaccinated?

Hardcastle I know you're Australian and don't have rabies (or you may due to the foxes but IIRC no) but you have talked to a lot of American hunters. Perhaps you'd know?
Also Musth wake up this is kind of your thread too, I'd wager you know better.

An animal with rabies is a specific animal dying with a horrible disease. It's possible you might stumble onto a rabid animal when hunting and get infected by a bite (I don't think a scratch usually transmits it), but it's not likely. Most animals out there obviously don't have rabies.

Then again, it's true we don't have any here, so maybe it's a bigger issue than I realise.
